i can get some pics. but u really dont think 2000 for each sub is enough? i had the 2200 pushing one before i bought a second sub at 1 ohm and it pushed it pretty well.

had a guy build it for me. its 8.5 cubes at 38hz its a horizontal port and each subs does Not have their own chamber. Subs up port to the rear.

ya im not going to run it at .5 ohms just for that reason. Also ive been breaking my subs in thoughout the day, the just finished getting reconed, is it UNcommon for a pair of subs to be moving around differently? Like on the lows one moves around a little more than the other. Is that just the stiffness?

Ok guys i just got my new box built for my two aq 15s and it sounds great! I also did the Big 3, on my cap its still reading the same numbers 13.8-14.1, but my engine light went off. Thats the only difference i noticed with the big 3. The 15s are being ran off of a AQ2200d at 2 ohms. The amp pushes 1300 x 1 @ 2ohms. So each sub is basically getting 650 watts and all of us know thats like a pinch of power for these subs. As i break them in they will get louder. I am thinking of running it down to .5 ohms, so how much would each sub be getting? OR should i just leave them at 2 ohms for now, and buy another 2200; that means if i buy another 2200 watt amp im going to have to buy an upgraded alternator. I really dont want to wire them down to .5 ohms bcuz i dont want anything messin up again so soon. But i also want more power after the break in is complete. Tell me what u guys think. I think im going to just go ahead and spend the money on an alt and another amp. Also if i buy another amp, what other upgrades will i need? will i need 1 more battery too?! (I already have one under the hood and one in the back). Let me hear ur opinions. Thanks!

ive heard 2 12 sony explods in a trunk awhile back. they got down but they werent anything impressive by far. This guy i work with has a 15" sony explod, it gets down too but the pre fab box its in keeps it from hitting those lows. Its not bad but its nothing like any of these subs out now, like fi, aq, dc. When it hits the lows its like it goes dead silent. no joke.

lol well ya those are horrible but i was talking about a regular mdf bandpass boxes with the sub built inside the box and a port out. they just dont sound as loud as a ported box facing the rear.

im gettin a local guy here to build me a box carpeted, braced, and double mdf'ed for about 300 dollars for 2 15s... does that sound right?

agreed bandpasses are weak comparing to a well tuned ported

its a 2002 dodge durango 02 durango, AQ2200D pushing both subs (plan to buy another 2200 after system is done), i mainly listen to hip hop and rap, also rock but im a real bass head. i love bass lol loud shaking the shit off walls bass. i will get some deminsions of space i have to work with later tonight.

Ok. im buying another 15 and am wondering how i should build it? the deminsions and porting etc. I want the design to be Port in middle 2 subs on either side of them and facing towards the back. Thats my idea. Is there any other way to build a box better like having the subs face upwards? Give me some input here i need ideas and personal opinions. Im going to have 2 hdc15s. EXACTLY how should i build this box and whut to tune it at? Thanks.
