i probably have just about enough space for two 18s. ive never heard an 18 before and im wondering if i had a btl 15 and a btl 18 on the same amp if it would be a huge difference?

i was wondering if anyone here has any expierence with both companys. i own audioque products but never have heard an FI subs. i was wondering if there is a huge difference in sound, reliability, and just pure bass. and need a few opinions on if i should get another AQ 15 to add it to my other AQ 15 so i can have two or should i buy an AQ or FI BTL 18 and sell my AQ 15? im running an AQ2200D. Give me yalls opinions on this one.

ya i know ive seen a video on here on how to recone it, looks pretty damn easy. i might just do that but ok whenever i get everything hooked back up ill adjust the gain a little down lol ya it is. and ya it does take forever lol luckily ive had it so long i kno where everything is on my usb. im using a 8GB flash drive too, when i first got it, it was kinda annoying lol. but i put every individual artist in a different folder for them and their albums so that made it a little easier ya i read that on here and i might as well use it since i have it..

and yes i know. thanks though. ya im probably going to send it in. but from whut ive read on here about the audioques clipping light is that its a little sensitive and to set it at the highest peak the light will come on for a little blurp here and there when the kicks hit. But yes when i get it repairded im going to try out whut u said earlier in the post. thanks

bcuz thats whut i was told whut to do from people on here and a local guy. Like i said before it performs normal but has a bad sound coming from down by the magnent

i think it just needs a recone from being played so much. i literally play it for atleast 2-3 hours daily for 8-9 months. its never had a break. thats probably why. im telling u it doesnt clip much at all. but how much of a differnece would the big 3 do? like day and night or just a little? i will and why get rid of the cap? the cap seemed to push out more power that way than without it

i got 0 guage and an extra battery. never have done the big 3 yet... was going to but.. ya. i did notice a droppage the last week or week and 1/2 on the cap. it would go from like 13.5 to like 12.2. i didnt figure anything of it since it was still over 12 volts... but ya i might do that actually, with the head unit and everything, but my bass on my door speakers arent up at all they are actually negative.

ya thats whut i have now its alright lol but its ok i dont really care sub does need recone now lol. but its ok. spider not ripped or anything just a recone. and its probably from the 2200

thanks for the advice guys lol but i know whut the red light is haha. its not my police lights its just that certain song clipped more than others. and whut i read on these forums is that, that clip light is a little sensitive and to set the gain so the light barely flickers on and off, and thats how its set. that song is just a little OD on the amp though. I think its ok though guys thanks for all your concerns considering ive owned that set up for 7 months 1 ohm daily driver bumpage without problems. =] thanks though!

how would i check that ya i had the sub out earlier and had that idea in my head but forgot to check that, i was thinking that too.... whut if i check it and it is broken should i just throw some liquid nail on it?

yes its set right, like i said, ive had this sub for awhile now and never heard shit like this... i dont kno.. it might be, but i dont kno how to tell if it is or not. i thought it was the wires hitting and bouncing off the sub but its not. and it only makes the sound bad on the higher notes, and when it hits. not during a solid bass line. i cant figure it out

ok it just started happening the other day and ive had this sub forever now. its an hdc15 and it makes this weird punchy sounding noise when it hits. it almost sounds like the wires inside are hitting it as it plays but ive checked that. the sub plays fine and still plays to the same volume and hasnt decreased power but it just added this little weird noise with it. i have no idea whut it is. anybody have any kind of ideas to throw at me?!? thanks...

big box and big port hit lows well.. i had one that was tuned at 38 hertz and it banged on the lows. but u lose the mids and highs that itll hit. personally i like a box built to hit everything good and close to equal

thats whut i did on my 1200d and ive been using it daily like that for 4 months now.

a chip is good but get yourself some cams. ull notice the difference. cams are the best way to go imo if u dont want exhaust. Cams will give u more hp than intake and exhaust.
