but im going to use 2 15's but what coils do j need
-
alright thanks and if i do wire it at .7 what coil configurations does the 2 15's have to be?
-
right now im running it at 1.34 ohms with 3 12's and going to 15's but can the amp handle .7ohms?
-
just in the future by a little xs power batt just in case if you want your voltage to stay at 14v+
-
im just going to get a 350a singer alt and a d3400 up front and a d3100 in the back
-
thanks CJ i might do that
-
oh alright and what if i get 2 xs power 14v batts? and charge at around 16 would it drop the same?
-
right now i only have the big 3 and 2 yellotop optima and stock alt and my voltage sucks, drops to 11.9. yea im looking into the mechman 270 and 2 d3100s and how well this keep my volrage at?
-
and thats it, so a 220-270 amp alt and a d3100 up front and my voltage will be good?
-
i have a powerbass xa3000d and a rockford t600-4 in my 2003 chevy suburban. my question is how many batteries and alts do i need? and how many amps does the alt have to be?
-

-
will they take about 1300-1600 rms in 10 cubes?

im looking for a new box design for 2 15's tuned around 26-30hz ( i play alot of decaf)
and il be willing to pay for a box design? max dimensions are
H: 18-24 in
W: 48
D: 30
this is going in a 2003 chevy suburban behind the 3rd row seat.
-
where are you located?
-
ithink 3 cubic ft for 1000 w is perfect and portwise about 12-13 per cube tuned to 31hz
-
i think 4.5 cubic ft is too big for that much power i would do 2-3 cubic ft box tuned to 30-35hz and more port area instead of 9 per cube do like 12

been there those subs never stopped smelling till they died and they want weird boxes to get loud they can barley take 1000 watt so be careful
so should i change the subs to some sundown sa-12's ? or any suggestions on some subs that handle anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 watts rms?
-
are the subs brand new? some subs smell for a while when they are new.
the subs are not brand new there about a year old.

well i have a upgraded alt from a chevy 3500 in a suburban with 2 optima yellowtop with 2 0 gauge runs to the back with the big 3 lowest ive dropped is 12.7-12.9
-
probably the lowest ive played is 28hz . i have a sony deck and a clarion eq if anybodys wants to know
-
i have 3 pioneer premier pro 12's which are 1,000 watts rms and powering them is a powerbass xa3000d @1.34ohms. the gain on the amp is at 1/4 up and the bass boost is all the way down and after a song or 2 the subs start to smell but not too bad. is it that my box is too big? its about 5 cubes before sub dis. tuned to around 30-32 hz or should i just change the subs?
600 watt rms extra on stock alternator and stock battery.

yep hes right^ theres no need for 0 gauge, 4 gauge is what i would do instead plus you can save a couple bucks and buy you a nice set of components for the front
