Most of the online ebay stores all come from the same place, so shop around and find the best price.
Also look up lkq or keystone automotive to see if you got a local store, might save money and time on shipping.

A premium filler is a hell of a lot easier to work with. If you don't mind sanding for hours to get something smooth....use a cheap filler.

OP look into finding a local LKQ/Keystone automotive. Key1071 is the same as rage gold and its onsale pretty much every other Friday for 30-35 a gallon depended on your area.

When rusty did derricks it was just below the spider not above, but we also had the old former before the stealth coils came out.
I would talk to rusty before you go ahead do it.

I dont have any pics, but its basically just putting a coat of resin on the back of the cone to help reinforce it.
Sorry Cody, I wasn't talking about the whole cone, just that joint.

This is probably what your coil will look like, this sub had that clicking sound but played just fine.

Not the pic I wanted but the only one I could dig up fast. This one does not have resin on it, its the reason we had it put on.
Where my fingure is, is where you want to put a good bead all the way around it.

Its just regular fiberglass resin. If I can find a picture of our old ones ill post up later. But if you got a chance run thru derricks build log on the teg and there should be a couple pics of the triple joint.

Wouldn't say that. Meca is not big in florida, sbn is the only meca show in the state I can think of. So not many people compete in it, execpt for park and pound has gotten some attention lately. Last year there may have been 25 to 30 cars total for spl in all the classes.

With that much power make sure you get the triple joint reinforced with some resin. Derrick had that problem in the teg before rusty sent us the new recones with the resin and no more problems.

For burping if you know you are louder sealed you can pick any of them. If you are louder with a door open or window down I would do meca. Also with meca they go by fuse rating + cone area and with the new rules you would go straight into a 4 class or higher. They limited rms power for 1 2 3 classes.

Biggest thing is do you want to burp or play music? Burp you can do db drag, idbl or meca spl. Music would be bass race, bass boxing or park and pound.
