Southwest Audiofest makes its second annual migation to the cooler cooler climates and gorgeous vistas in Prescott Valley, AZ. The first of these 4 shows will be held on Saturday, June 11th at Audio Adrenaline, located at 2517 Great Western, Suite P, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314. The other shows are scheduled for the same venue on Saturday, July 9th, and Saturday, August 13th. Last year, these shows drew people from all over Arizona, as well as from Las Vegas. The weather is typically gorgeous, and the venue is nearly ideal for these events! I am encouraging everyone who is coming to PV to compete, judge, or check out the event to take advantage of the MECA CP discount at Motel 6 in Prescott Valley. This is a 2X event being held at Triple R Performance, located at 7921 E. Pecos Rd, Mesa AZ 85212. The upcoming MECA Southwest Audiofest event originally scheduled for Saturday, April 9th at Hooters Bell Canyon WILL NOW BE HELD at Hooters West Phoenix, located on 75th Ave near the SW corner of 75th Ave and Thomas in Phoenix. The new requested date is Saturday, April 23rd; this date is pending based on formal approval from Hooters Director of Marketing. Contrary to a previous announcement, this show is NOT on Easter Sunday, April 24th! We already have over 20 vehicles already signed up to compete, and interest is growing daily! This show is shaping up be the largest and most competitve Southwest Audiofest event yet! Tours of the UTI campus are being offered during the show. If you have any intesest in cars whatsoever, you owe it to yoruself to take a tour. I have taken the tour myself, and I was blown away by the facilities and what UTI has to offer! Pre-registration is encouraged for all events, as space is filling up fast! Soundz N Performance in Phoenix, AZ will be hosting a 2X MECA sanctioned event on Saturday, December 4th. SQL, SQL Installation, SPL, Drive By SPL and Show N Shine will be offered. Pre-registration is required for SQL and for Show N Shine (due to space constraints). We are asking that anyone who is planning to compete to e-mail the event coordinator (me!) at [email protected] before the day of the show! There is a chance that the show may need to be moved to larger venue to accommodate both competitors and spectators, so I will need to know if a venue change is needed as far in advance as possible! Current MECA members will also have the option of the following pre-registration incentives for this – and ALL MECA Southwest Audiofest events: 1) Current MECA members who PRE-REGISTER for SQL at the regular MECA member entry fee ($25), and Installation pre-registration is only $15! That’s a $15 savings versus non-member entry fees! 2) Current MECA members who PRE-REGISTER for Drive By SPL at the regular MECA member entry fee ($20), and SPL pre-registration is only $20! That’s a $15 savings versus non-member entry fees! 2) Installation pre-registration is also available for only $15 for paid pre-registrations for Drive By SPL.
