in hockey i used to do this to strenthing my wrists i would take the hockey skick tie a rope to it with a weight on the end and roll the rope around the stick esing my wrist to turn the stick(twisting the stick around so rope raps up on the stick like a winch if that makes it clearer) for less intense just start of with the stick and a rope.

my thoughts and prayers go out to her and he family and to you keep your head up, my sister had cancer and the doctors said it dident look good but she pulled though it and is doing great now. doctors arnt always right,, hope all the best and for a speedy recover.
