My overhead console almost fell off, rear hatch almost fell off ( the snap on pieces), one of my lights fell off, my meters are all outa wack, lol that's why I entered for that Second Skin Comp, which is very cool by the way.

I love having cool looking wallpaper and a nice desktop layout, and I've been noticing computers with HUD vision, which looks awesome. I just want to know where/how to install that type of desktop theme thing for vista...lol Super newb when it comes to this stuff.

I did 9.5 cubes after displacement on 2 BTL 18s with around 8kw on them they were fine.
Smaller box typically means more power. 4k watts is a lot, even for the BTL, so they needed a smaller box. But it is risky for a non expert box builder to put them in that small of an enclosure. You know what your doing, your a sub-ninja

Personally with 2 BTL's I would never run polyfill with as much as you need to push those 18's might make a little heat
yea polyfill is for sealed applications, as it dampens the sound of the rear wave (the goal is to completely separate front and rear wave in sealed boxes). In a ported box, with the amount of power BTL's take, It is a fire waiting to happen.

Well I guess then I am going to have to do a shit load of fab work then that I was trying to avoid. It's gonna cost about 5 grand but I want the damn 18's in there and if I completely redesign the trunk hinges and do a custom fiberglass and wood enclosure I can squeeze out over 10 cubes and then fill it with polyfill and get the level of bass I'm looking for. Anyone know if with the right amount of power (full rated RMS is what I'm planning) I can get a hairtrick with just 2 18's?
If you somehow make enough space for those subs, and tune it low in a good enclosure with good power and voltage, you better do a hairtrick lol. :hairtrick:
If I were you, I would stick to one 18, build it an ideal box for the amount of power your giving it, keep voltage up, and you will be plenty loud.

There are no rap songs I would stick to forever, so if I had to keep something that bumped at all, I would choose the Comfortably Numb with bass song, but I would prefer the live version without bass boost to be honest. Forever is a long time.

The guy in that SUV was a good driver if it is real. Typical drivers are too damned retarded to actually look at an intersection, even though you are supposed to, but he obviously looked and hit his breaks in time to avoid a much worse scenario. just like my diagram...just use the first set of positive and negative on the amp, the others are just extra for different wiring....1 positive on amp to pos1 on sub to pos2 on sub, 1 negative on amp to neg1 on sub and then to neg2 on sub...enjoy.Hu is a Pioneer 880prs , box is 6cuft .
Whats stumping me is this amp has more speaker hookups than what Im used to and then the way the book is saying to hook it up . The sub is wired correctly in the box but stumped on how to wire it to the amp lol . Sounds stupid I know .

what H.U. do you have....Headunit wise I have the eq settings for the lows all flat , no loud on or anything that should make the headunit clip .
on mine I had to set eq for sub at 42 hz center with lowest q and on +5 (out of -5 to +5) and also I had to set my Sub-W setting to +15 out of +15 in order to get maximum unclipped voltage. Do all of that at the head unit first, then set the gains. Also make sure your RCA connection is good.

Oh and by the way, I have a SAZ3000d, and there is no way in living hell, even with the absolute worst box, that your combo will sound "weak" lol. I don't know if you ever had or heard a really loud system but you just joined the club. Phase is just used to tell if the sub is inverted or not. If the sub isn't inverted, keep it off. First of all do you have it wired pos to pos to pos, and neg to neg to neg, because that would give you the 1 ohm load. Secondly, an Oscope costs a fortune, so run out to walmart, grab a volt meter and at least see what kind of voltage you are getting. it is possible that you are clipping to all hell from your head unit...Use this with you new voltmeter to set your gains...it sounds like your lpf and subsonic are fine. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j23/stev...77/RMSchart.jpgWell I have been waiting for various parts of the system and finally I get everything installed and it sounds weak.
I am stumped on how to properly wire my new amp to my sub so I get the 1 ohm load.
I have the sub wired correctly inside the box and I am running one dual 2ohm 18" btl.
I dont have a O-scope so my plan was to just crack the gain to a 1/4 turn from off just to see if everything works etc . I am going to order a O-scope hear pretty soon when I get the money.
So gain is set 1/4 turn / LPF around 80 I think (hard to tell what it is , have it between a 1/4 and a 1/2 a turn)/ Subsonic I was shooting for 27Hz , I have it around 1/4 turn . Bass boost is all the way off and the phase is all the way down .
What is phase ?
I looked at the manual I got with the amp and on page under single amp connection and the diagrahm showing one sub 1~4 ohms it shows the + of sub side to connect to the negative of the amp sides and the negative of the sub side to connect with the + side of the amp .
my sub end of my setup has no bass really and when I turn the volume up the sub starts popping like its gonna blow the fuc up or somthing and the gain is only at a 1/4 turn . I feel like a fool now

The 427 TT is insane... I sat in the CF version at a show and almost had and accident man... Those things are INSANE!!! They do high 8's in the 1/4th if I remember correctly
