I have never had a single good experience with a bank...I've tried 3 banks now, all of them have sent me into the red at one point when I had money in them...really bullshit...I'm using Wachovia now, which I hate with a passion, but hey, can't just carry around cash all the time, can I?

sooooooooooooooooooo, I metered today, and as I was pounding away, my box split, and it sounded like a set of drums in my trunk at full tilt.....
I hit 144.6 before the box broke apart........
everyone that has told me to burp, says to max out volume and use pause button, well i did that, and it sounded like crap, hit only 138. I turned the volume down to 24 out of 40, and it hit 144.6 before breaking the box..
I am using an audiocontrol four.1 eq with 9.5 volts rms, is this maybe why it sounded like crap at the higher volume?? should I disconnect the eq and use full volume?? HU has 4.0 volt pre outs...
no offense but if your box split then it wasn't built nearly good enough, and you are probably clipping to shit at 40 if you hit higher at 24 then 40....looks like you have a lot of problems to work out there...

went to Advanced auto and a good looking audio shop...both are telling me the d680 is dead...fucking sucks...guess I need to buy a few xs power batteries soon
I'm thinking a d2700 or biggest that will fit up front, d680 where my other one is, and another big batt in back.

im not sure, but may be the difference in resistance btw the 2 batts is causing this. theres probably less resistance to the xs battery you have in the rear, so your alternator may be charging that b4 you walmart battery upfront. causing your car to do w/e its doing.
well the Autozone test should be able to show me that if it's the problem....

quick bump....I'm at my cousins, but on the way here it was idling way too low, rpms going down to around 200....bout to head out to autozone but its raining like hell out.

I would try taking it to a local auto parts store and getting them to check your resting voltage after disconecting the rear battery, if its normal, then it may be your starter, mine started doing that on my tacoma, it would start but it acted like it was weak and didnt wanna turn over the engine. Advance, autozone etc.. should be able to check your starter, alternator, and battery.
alright...I'm gonna go do that right now...
If anyone else has any suggestions please leave them here for when I get back.

Long story short, I have two batteries, 1 walmart battery that is 2 years old with a 3 year warranty, and 1 xs power d680 in the back. My car is starting, but having a lot of trouble doing so. I would next to guarantee that the walmart battery is dead and the d680 is taking over the role, but I am at my moms house with no tools or anything to check voltage. Does anyone know how good the walmart replacement plan is? Also does anyone think this could be something else? As soon as it starts up, which it does each time, it fires right up and my alt has no problem taking over....help?
