Could very likely be a problem such as a cylinder misfire...is you check engine light on? One of my cylinders has a blown exhaust and it does this, really annoying, and kills gas milage.

Got it all hooked up...freakin S-video ftl....hd videos are pretty close to dvd quality, but the frames get a little slow...everything else looks meh, but it does the job, so I won't complain.

I'm gonna go pick one up at best buy or walmart or something...I want to be able to return it easily if it sucks...I'll let u guys know how good it plays youtube hd/bluray etc later...thanks for the help!

Well considering I've had this computer almost 2 years now, and it's still about on par with that one, only with slightly less video memory but a much better processor...I must pass...my next laptop will be intense though.

yeah i edited my post about it because when i posted it, i seen you said you didnt have HDMI
I know...I get the absolute most beefed up computer they offered, with every feature, and fail to see that my 17" with bluray and a 1920x1200 screen doesn't have ANY digital video outputs... my sister gets the same thing only on a 15", and hers has hdmi out, wtf?

Well I guess I will just go with S-video, since at least I know it will work...If my blurays come out dvd quality or better I'll be happy...it's just something to hold me off until I get my ps3, and watch some online videos...

HDMI then.. dude if your trying to watch blueray on your TV that will be the best connection.. unless you can get opti connect, which i believe is better then HDMI
therein lies the problem, no hdmi output on laptop.

basically, my laptops weakest point and my tv's weakest point are clashing here...there is no dvi or hdmi out on my laptop, despite having bluray, and there is not vga in on my tv, so I pretty much have to use s-video, which I know doesn't support hd, and would suck, or something with an adapter.

i had a panasonic a computer WILL burn in on a plasma
anyhow vga IS RGB its a blue connection usually on your tv and on the back of the laptop
my model doesn't have a vga in though...

rgb connection although i wouldnt recommend it for a long period of time on a plasma due to burn in
so what wire would this require...vga to rgb? Or is there a converter needed? Also I'm not worried at all about burn in, the new plasmas it's barely an issue, and my panasonic has multiple features preventing burn in...
Also I'm pretty much just using this to watch my blu-rays on my tv (if possible, my laptop has bluray) and other online videos...

and I am wondering what is the single best way to connect them and maintain quality, without spending ton of money...basically, what is the best wire for the job.
By the look of things, my lappy only has vga and s-video out, and my tv only has s-video, hdmi, and component in, so would s-video be best, or something like a vga to component, or is there a better way? Thanks.

Yes it's neo...I was at a racetrack and the car show portion of the event, everyone had this woofer...at the time I was a newb, but they did sound absolutely awesome....very loud too..although the output isn't worth the price, the sound quality was amazing...maybe one day I will get 24 in a diamond,...one day.

I think I'm a schizophrenic and wrote this when I was my other me, because I wholeheartedly agree with/do everything on this list.
oh and this: -Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my *** everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time... Had me loling hard, the truth is unbelieveable.
