yup thats exactly what im doin with my truck.. except i gotta bench seat so i can fit 4 wit the box in
im not saying that design wont work but imo i dont think thats the best place for the port.. ask amatt he would know
still havent answered the question ha!
youd be suprised how loud it can get in a truck.. my cab is really small so i can get damn loud compared to others.
i would consider any 120 hp import with a coffee can exhaust.. neons... and no power or decent turbo under the hood a RICER!
now the guys who put alot of work into the engine with at least 225 hp who can back their shit up... who puts shit on for performace not looks or sound is a non ricer.
thats just how i see it
have you had a sub setup before?
id say in a truck 130 is low... im hittin like 143 with 2 12s diamond d6s off like 1300 rms.. the amp could put out close to 2000. if you make your box right id say high 30s.. possible low 40s.. depending on box setup and what not..
trust me.. it will be alot of bass.
all you have to do is look at your back seat.............. figure out the biggest box you would be willing to put in there... for instance i meaured mine out so it takes up half the back seat so someone can seat back there... up to the window.. so i can see.. and from the back of my truck to the back of my seat.. he needs that info otherwise your SOL
isnt amatt gonna hook you up with some plans? all you neeeded to give him were max demensions and the stuff he wants on the first post and he will do it for you?
ya i have wood shop now so im gonna make 2 boxes one is sub forward port up.. just thinkin about another one to try.. your a lifesaver by the way wit the box designs
well our garage is packed with cars boats trucks and snowmobiles and other stuff so there is not really any room for boxes to be layin around.. i wanna try and get it right the first time.
ha! gotcha glad you showed up cuz i was actually gonna ask you for a sketchup after i get all the info needed! i have woodshop now so i have all access to tools and machines!! plus i get credit for it.. but part of the requirement is i need a layout. so what should i tune the box to?? like i said i wanna get loud i wanna pound the lows but still hit the highs.
and what about sub forward port up?
my cab is pretty small, its def not as big as many other cabs
but you think tune to that high?
i was thinkin like around 35 for these types of subs. i wanna hit low and hard but still be able to hit the highs
port facing the passenger or port facing the wall?
by the way its gonna be an audioque hdc12 on a zx1500.1
i just want it to be the loudest and sound the best.
ok so im finally gonna start building my box soon.. final decision its in an ext cab truck 98 tacoma. only taking up half of the back seat. i have this to work with 25"x22.5"x14". so what would get the loudest and cleanest sounding in there. sub forward port up.. sub up port up.. any input?
i pikcked up the autopage rs900 and i am getting it installed tommorrw with REMOTE START!! haha
install plus bypass module with remote start on a manual transmission-210 after taxes so im pretty happy with it. i picked up the autopage 170 shipped to my door. also getting some tint done while its there.
ill let you guys know how i like it!
i have a 98 tacoma with a 90 amp alt and a kicker zx1500.1 wired to 1 ohm right now and its really really pushin it
i need to be careful. but you should be fine
