This ministry is only a few years old but is growing by leaps and bounds. God has met us at every turn and blessed us tremendously. We are however still in a time of growing, and with that comes a lot of expenses. We are going to be hosting a Cruise In as a fun, family oriented way to raise some extra funds for our ministry. We want everyone to be able to attend so we are keeping it as simple as possible, and just $5 to enter a vehicle and $5 for a plate of food. I used fishing line in between the molding/badges and the body, just pulled it through the glue using a saw motion. Then a 3M Stripe Off wheel from NAPA, it worked awesome. And some adhesive remover. My buddy owns a detail shop and is going to buff it all out for me, the molding left some small scratch type lines on the truck, I'm guessing from original install. But they are very light and can be buffed no problem. Thanks for the compliments guys.

Thanks for the all compliments guys. Working on a brand new truck isn't so bad. Better to do in now than later. Exhaust, tint and 4/7 all should be on within the next month. After that I'll start building the system.

Badges, chrome trim on the molding, steering wheel controls, G80 locking differential, 5.3 V8, 20's and some other nit pick stuff. But the TE nets you a $2000 discount. I did the math and to get everything the same without the package it would be more expensive. And no lift kit here, I have a 4/7 drop on the way.

This past Monday I drove home my first brand new ride. Bought a 2011 Chevy Texas Edition crew cab 2wd. I freaking love it so far. I do have a build planned but it just take some time. I have a few other things I want to do first. Like tint, 4/7 drop, and exhaust. Plans are for 4 SA-8's under the rear seat.

Screw it, I just scrapped the whole idea and will be building a box for one Fi BTL 12" until I can lose my backseat for a wall. single 12" 2.85 cubic ft. 16.57 sq. inches port area per foot 35.25 Hz. Double baffled and all thread bracing FYI, I have never ran anything except for RF and TOBY(in bandpass). Thanks for the help and input guys, when I start on the box I'll start a build log. Haha, I don't have pics yet, I haven't bought the wood yet either. That will be next weekend. However......I have come to a possible sure design. Box dimensions: Height- 14 Width- 38 Depth- 18 Slot port Port Area per foot- 15.06 Common Walls- 3 Port height- 12.5 Port Width- 4 Port length- 24 Box net volume before displacement- 3.32cu.ft. Tuning freq.- 36.87 Now just trying to figure what what I can and can't run in this box, I can fit one 18" on the top. It would be tight but it would fit. BUT I have never ran an 18, so...I don't really what kind of volume is required for one. One more question, the port will be 2-3" from the back hatch door, will this be ok?

Still playing with dimensions, can't figure it out though, every time I add port area(on several different designs) I have to add so much length to the ports to get the tuning down. I never knew building a box the right with(calculating port area) would be such a pain.

Well no box for me,my just got a speeding ticket. It's all good though, I'll play around with the design and measurements more and may just do one 18 instead. The dimensions are ideal for what I had in mind as far as using space in the hatch area though.

Unless I go with a wall, which will happen one day just not right now. GTI aren't big cars

when I double it I lose too much net volume, hmmm....

Does anyone think maybe I am trying to tune too low? I don't have a lot of experience making and tuning boxes so input would be great. Car- VW GTI 2door Music- Everything but country and classical I don't honestly know why I have been stuck on the 32-34 Hz tuning. Also I don't if the size of the car makes a difference. Thanks
