I have an Associates Degree from PSU in IST-2 Networking. But for my career, I'm a 911 calltaker / dispatcher.

Strobes can only "strobe"... They cannot steady burn... What you do is drill a 1" hole in your light housing and insert the strobe bulb... And you cannot to this with sealed mean lights, only composite light housings...
Any other help you need, just give a shout... I've been messing with these things for 8 years now...

if your not doing anything serious they make a prefab to fit in there perfect
Yeah, but I don't have the money for one... All the materials for this box I already had laying around my parents basement... The cheapest one I found was this one, but I don't have an extra $300 + Shipping laying around... I also saw one somewhere that was like $1,200, that's just ridiculous.

I'm currently working on a custom enclosure for my Avalanche... It's going to replace my midgate and hold my 2 Kicker COMP VR 12's... I have all the pieces cut out and hopefully I'll get to complete construction this weekend...
Just wondering if there are any tips ya'll have for the construction... The enclosure is made of all 3/4 MDF, the "face" of the box is 2 pieces of MDF cut to the shape of my midgate opening and they need to be mated together. Plus I have two separate cabinets (one for each sub) to attach to the rear of the face. This will be a sealed box, so any tips ya'll have on sealing would also be appreciated.
I think I'm going to attach the cabinet pieces to the second "face" piece, they attach the two "face" pieces together.
And I have build enclosures before, but they were far from professional... They workrd for what I needed them for, but could have been better...
Here's the last one I built... It was for my '95 Tahoe... It was crude, but effective...
Thanks in advance for any and all help guys & gals...

Fusion Power with Fusion HydraGel... Face and head...
I'm on the right...
And that's a whole lot of head to shave... LoL I actually only get 2 complete shaves (2 face and 2 head) off of one blade head... Then the blades dull out...
And I use a wahl trimmer for my goat...

I've always wanted a CRX to mess around with... Looks like a great starter...
PS, I think you should keep the pink on black look...

Those are some amazing set-ups Dom... Keep up the awesome work...

Totally missed this topic... LoL My bad...
My name is Tim, from Tunkhannock PA (NEPA, in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Area)
I came across SMD while looking for ideas fro my Avalanche when I cam across the EXT he did... After that I was hooked... Especially when I saw my first http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif
I've had a stereo in every vehicle I've owned...
My first vehicle was a 1985 Dodge Omni running 2 Kenwood 10's in a ported kenwood box. No pic... I wish I did, it was a mad hooptie... LoL
Next was a 1986 Mercury Cougar, started with the 10's from my first car, then added 2 JBL 12's in a bandpass box and 2 MTX 15's in a sealed box. While I have the cougar, I had a winter car. And i dropped my 2 JBL's in that in a "portable" set-up...
I got rid of those and got my first truck. 1991 Chevy Silverado Z71. I custom made a box and fit one of the MTX 15's behind the seat. Pretty tight fit for a regular cab... LOL
Next came my 1995 Chevy Tahoe... I did some serious custom work on this, including a complete Z71 suspension upgrade (Which they didn't make for Tahoe's back then...) That had 2 Kicker COMP VR12's on a custom sealed box...
Now I have my '03 Avalanche... I'm working on making a custom midgate box for my 2 kicker COMP VR 12's...
I'll have to see if I have any pics of my other cars at home...

I think the combination of the wrapping and the bolts makes it look mean as hell...

Props to Steve and all the design/admin staff... You guys have an awesome board here... And I'm glad to be a part of it...

Congrats on the milestone Steve...

I'd head out, but being on the other side of the country puts a damper on it... LoL

LOL. I saw some a while ago and thought, "they can't be that far away." Well a quarter mile later I finally seen the car. It was the day and I had to look to the other side of the road to see at all. Way to bright.
Ah I see... It all depends on quality, placement, and quantity... LoL The only LED's I have are a pair of very small ones between my tailgate and bumper, and a large set behind my grill...
-
Lookin good... Can't wait to see it back together...
-
I just noticed... Ya missed the mirror... LoL

I would opt for smaller twins if I was your dad; depending on the applications. Faster spool time is always a plus.
Exactly... Turbo-lag is a b*tch...

4 days a week I'm up until 7:30AM due to work... The others I'm up until 4:00AM-5:30AM... Daylight hurts my skin, I like night better...

Sweet...
Thanks bro... Now I have a better idea on what the Av will look like... Someday... LOL

Tunkhannock? You live in the boonies lol. I live in milford got couple buddies in scranton.
Well I'm not in the boonies, but they are pretty close... LoL it sux when you have to drive 20+ minutes just to go somewhere where there is stuff to do... LoL

I wish I could see it... Aparently the web filter here at work doesn't like your hosting site... LoL

Here's my Zeus... He's a mix breed... The lady I got him from said that his mom is a Lab/Boxer mix, and his dad was a Coon Hound... Ya can't really tell from the pics, but he has some beautiful brindle on him, white paws, white tipped tail and a white chest... He was the chubbiest pup in the litter with the bigest paws, which is the reason I got him... I've wanted another big dog for the longest time...
This is the day we picked him up, riding shotgun with my g/f in my Av...
And here he is at 18 weeks old... He's gonna be a monster... lol
Here he is the other night... He's a weirdo when he's sleepin on the couch... 5-1/2 months and 61 lbs...

My dog has learned that when I get up for no reason and go get him a treat, it means he has to go in his crate because I'm leaving... And he's starting to learm that when my pager (fire & EMS) goes off, that he has to go in the crate aswell...
