  1. This is what i ended up coming up with for a single cab pick up. Box is behind seats port will be facing front driver seat, sub will be facing passenger seat. sub is a fi bl 12" and it will be running on a audioque 1200d

    height 16"

    width: 55"

    depth 1: 6.0

    depth 2: 11.0

    Port:

    height 14.5

    width: 2.0

    length 30:

with torres box calculator it came out to be tuned to 33.60 hz, 2.01 net volume, and port area 29in^

Want to hear what you guys think before i start cutting im limited to space and thats about all i came up with thats going to work.

  2. H = 14, W = 56, D1 = 6, D2 = 11

Thats 2.75 cubic feet gross internal volume, there's going to be some loss on the center can you calculate that? or give me the depth loss on the center and the length (the center console width)?

i only got 5" depth behind the center console and it is 18" long

  3. if someone could design a box like this that would be cool if the box needs to be a little bigger behind passenger seat i still have room to move it up.

i can figure out a simple box easily but i dont know how to use a calculator when it aint just a regular square box or angled box

  4. i cant managed to make a good design that gives you a good amount of port area per foot. you should try using the box calculator torres has on the subwoofer forum. it helps you create your own sized box based on your knowledge of your truck. im not too good at making a box out of just specs id need to see it up close. sorry lol.

its fine man. Its kinda of a pain cause the center console has to be built around it

  5. are you looking to hit really deep bass notes or more medium to high bass notes?

name off a couple songs you would plan on playing so i can see what hertz your box should be tuned to.

just mediums and high bass notes for the most part i know i have the one in my other truck tuned to 32hz.

    i usually listen to

gucci mane- pyrex pot, yella diamonds and some others

some lil wayne- fire flame, 6 foot 7 foot

waka flacka flame- hard in da paint, oh lets do it

    machine gun kelly- wild boy

  6. I need a design on a truck box. The sub is going to be a fi bl 12", amp audioque 1200d, i just want a design thats going to be loud to the ear, i only listen to rap/hip hop. I would like to stick to a slot port.

The space its going is here, sorry its dirty lol, and im taking out the tool box things

    image-1.jpg

    height: 14"

    top depth: 6"

bottom depth for driver and passenger side: 11"

    back length: 59"

front length behind passenger seat: 21"

front length behind driver seat: 21"

    behind center console depth: 5"

    behind center console length: 18"

kinda of a weird design... if you need more info i can get it

  7. well first off i wasnt starting a vs thread sundown is the only company i could think of that makes a good 8". I wouldnt mine a 10" either i would like to stick with a single sub as i have in my other truck. The truck is a 2000 f250 powerstroke single cab. My budget is about 200 for sub

  8. if u have tryed tuning it and nothing seems to work then yes btw what deak are u using? does it have a 4-5 volt preout ?

its a dual flip screen lol i was dumb i know i didnt know much about car audio then and its got 2 volt pre out lol

^^^ I think i found your problem I would replace the deck b4 anything else get a good deck with 4 volt pre-outs and low and high pass filter and at least a 5 band parabolic EQ this will make your life easier

alright what models you guys reccomend

  9. If you gave us some more info on where all of your setting are on your HU and where your knobs on your amp are that would be very helpful.

It more than likely has to do with those setting. Keep your gains low, loudness off, source level on 0 etc. Dont amplify the signal your amp sees and you wont get that clip.

i can give u the info of the amp tommorow dark out now but their not turned all the way up... The head unit subwoofer is -3 and the loud option is OFF

  10. Alright i have a audioque 1200d the bass nob has a clipping light and if i turn my stereo say 34/40 and turn the nob just a 1/2 turn thats when it starts getting loud and sounds nicly but the clipping light will not just blink it will stay red i dont leave it there i know to turn it down. But what gets me it doesnt even sound bad nice and clean but i wont leave it there cause i know its bad and not too do it but with the nob down its like it aint even loud at all. Could it be a head unit its a dual flip screen lol. Im considering buying and tuning it with a oscope or the smd clipping device that meade just came out with.

  11. i might go with them up front.. u know anyone that makes kick panels for a 1990 gmc 1500. i could also get a good component set to put in their if someone wants to leave suggestions on a good set and a good component amplifier. Only problem is my electical system its fine right now with a audioque 1200d but i dont know how it will react with another amp but with just a small amp should be fine??
