  1. i had to fix your sig, sorry bro - even 150 posts doesnt allow you to promote sales in your sig. You can sell your personal items in the for sale section after 150 though.

Anyway, to get the d3100 in you will have to cut the fender "flange" (for lack of better word) right there under the rubber seal. I make a few "relief cuts" and then just fold it down. Then take that PCM that is in the way and unbolt it. Push it out of the way and ziptie it to something solid in the area or else figure out a diff way to remount it. You should be good to go. If you can make a cardboard mockup of the battery that is the same exact size, it will be easier for you to test fit before dropping the actual beast in....at 77lbs i wouldnt wanna try more then ONCE to drop it in :D I have a dummy D3100 battery with nothing in it so that helped tremendously.

    good luck!

Haha no worries.I have an empty D3100 at the shop that is an empty replica that will work fine.I appreciate all the help and feedback. Thanks man.Oh and congratulations on your very own sub.I can't wait to see more videos on those beasts.Best of luck to you with those things.Hopefully they will be just as successful as the BTLs were for you and then some.

  2. Okay so I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe I'm working on and I'm trying to toss that absolute biggest battery possible underneath the hood.I know Steve and many others have put the XS 3100 underneath the hood of that style vehicle in the factory location and was wondering what all modifications were made to make that happen. There is a small round black box next to the battery tray and it looks like there is about 10.5" x 8" x 8.5".The 3100 is like 13" long.Anyone with any experience on this job?If I could get the man himself to hit up this thread, I know Steve has done this twice and should have it down to a science now.Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

  3. Or would I need to buy this?

    EDIT:

I see now. Theres 2 differnt DEH-P710BT models. They Regular and the Premier, and apperntly with the Premier model you dont need the cable??

Get the Premier. The radio comes supplied with an iPod cable that is compatible to that headunit. And the extra year added to the warranty is well worth the extra money alone.

  4. what song it in the first video but looks good man have you got it metered yet or no

As Decaf said, Lil Shawty by Zoe.And nahhh haven't had it metered yet but I have been constantly working on it and tweaking things here and there whenever the client gets a chance to get it to me and it has gotten considerably louder since it was first installed.

first song is gorilla zoe - lil shawty

    moar vids please

i bet it would be louder if he moved the box all the way back against the tailgate since his port is on top

I remember you telling me that last time, and I'll try and get a video of the truck with the 350+ lbs of box and woofers moved all the way to the back if I can muster up the strength haha.

It looks nice....but it makes me sad seeing such a nice vehicle get destroyed by bass..... I know it runined my blazer so far...everything rattles and makes noise...

As far as noise and rattles, I'm currently dampening the entire roof and am about to foam the hell out of this thing with a ton of Great Stuff Expanding Foam ;)

when is the rockford amp goin in? it definately needs more power!

As soon as I can convince the customer that it could be soooo much louder than it already is.I've told him time after time, but I think I'm going to have to get my hands on one and show him what those BLs can really do in that truck and then he'll be all for it.

  6. The customer wanted something with incredible sound quality that would get nice and loud.So I hooked him up with (2) pairs of Focal Polyglass 165 VR's.Each pair comes with (2) 6.5"s, (2) 1.75" tweeters, and (2) crossovers. Both pairs were ran off of a Rockford Fosgate T600-2. Source unit is a AVIC-F90BT that I put in a while back.Stinger wiring all throughout.Wanted to do it a little differently than previous new Escalades, Tahoes, etc, so I mounted the amp under the front console where it would be completely concealed and hidden from view.No one will be jacking this kid's system :acute:
