  1. That's what I was thinking. I had two JL 15s and a 3000w Earthquake amp in my old truck, and they killed the alternator. I just don't want to shell out ~$400 for an HO alternator.
  2. Alright, so I'm rolling in a 2003 Chevrolet Xtreme Blazer. I'm finishing up my system. Four RE Audio SE-XXX 15s, two US Amps MD3D amps, second Optima red top battery, etc. I was going to get my alternator beefed up to around 150 amps, but I was told by a place around here that works on them that my stock alternator can't be beefed up anymore. So, here I am. I have a batter isolator and a switch to turn it on/off to have the alternator charge the second battery when I need it. Do you think my alternator can handle this system or will I need to shell out the money for another, higher output alternator? I know which would be the better option, but that's not what I'm asking. I want to know if my alternator can handle it sufficiently.
