ii have 2 12" L7 and its wired negative to negative and positive to positive. i believe that 2 ohm?

i checked all the wiring and everything is secure and nothing is loose. now the amp doesnt turn on (no green light) and the light stays red "protect". im a newb when it comes to car audio that why i came here to learn more so any help is appreciated. and if it was low voltage my lights would dim correct? if that would be true my lights do not dim at all.

i bought this amp and its been a week everything was running fine, but today it turned off i checked the wiring and i lowered the gain and it powers on for 10-20 seconds and shuts off and a red light turns on does anyone know what the red light means or what is wrong with the amp?
