Just tried that and nothing! everything i try i get my hopes and it fails again.
EDIT: grounded rcas again and nothing. I did notice that when i plug my rcas back into the head unit (only the 4 channel rca) the first one i plug in theres a little pop coming from the speakers and it goes away once the connection is made fuilly

I have a dd1 so that isnt an issue i will try running the power and ground asap!

I had a thread last week about my alternator noise, many people posted with suggestions about to do and ive tried literally everything. Moving grounds, grounding rca's at the headunit, i even spent 30$ on knu shielded rca cables nothing worked. I went as far as buying a new headunit and that didnt help. Its gotten to the point where im figuring it has to be the amp, there are 2 rma's on the back of my aq 4x90 so its had trouble before, i have been battling with this noise for almost 2 weeks and it is insanely frustrating i cant use my new equipment. EDIT: i havet yet to ground the rca's on the new head unit but i really doubt its going to help it wil get done though

go back and set it with the -5 or -10 tones like steve said and report back. No the dd1 did not mess it up, i thought the same thing with my system BUT the dd1 can in no way harm your system, i was just being a dumbass.

I have 8ga from my amp to my terminals on my box on the outside, on the inside i have 10ga coming off the terminals to the subs. As long as you use terminals you will alright, i would go twisting those bastards together haha. Btw your pictures kicked the shit out of ms paint lol

Alright for sale today is my p4200 dvd im asking 90$ shipped split the paypal fee. It will not power on and only beeps when you try to. The pico fuses have been removed, this unit will not cost much to fix if sent back to pioneer so im trying to hook someone up with a deal on this. AS IS CONDITION!!! it will come with the ipod cable and wiring harness.
i can get better pics with my info on the paper that was the only thing i could find!

Dude you can buy it at home depot/ lowes its called fiber bondo I think its in the glue section
next to the bondo its like 13$a im using it atm on my doors and a pillars. It cures super fast like 5-10min sand it down with 80grit

if i can fit 2 sa15s in my pontiac in just about 6 cu after sub port AND bracing he should be able to do it aswell lolyou would want 8-9cuft net, your max dimensions with 1 layer all around and a double baffle leaves you with 9.49cuft. each subs displ is roughly .25cuft. so you are down to 9cuft without even adding a port.
port would be roughly 130sqin give or take, to achieve 34/35hz tuning you are looking at over 1cuft port displacement
then you need bracing, which will take up another .1-.3cuft depending on what material you use
in other words, you dont have enough room

Those super tweeters are going to be fucking retarded loud in your dorm your ears are Guna bleed lol. Super tweeters are supposed to used make your highs come in clear over high split levels. Try some part express for some home audio tweets. Morel and dayton are some names you should look for

when i hear relay i think of a little black plastic with 5 poles on it that i would use to get a steady voltage on my remote turn on wire. When i hear isolator i think of a battery isolator. easy enough

Alright guys im just starting up my build log today, i do all of my own work and i try to do it to the best of my tools capabilities(fucking dull) My 08 pontiac vibe has 126k miles.
Ive only been in car audio for about 3 years so i havent had the chance to use much nice equipment, all lower end stuff, i was able to aquire dd 1508s and then a dc level 4 which i reconed myself to a level 5. Sold all of that and grabbed to sa12s a couple of friends were nagging me to get them. I loved these subs on my hfi1000d which is now sold and my sa12s have been torn down to the motors awaiting the 15 inch baskets and recone kits which should arrive wednesday. Im aiming to be bumping by late thursday night or friday. I miss it so much!
