  1. dude, it may be a little car, but the trunk in it is MASSIVE. I have 48" wide, 22" deep, and 19" tall (11.6 cuft) to work with without making an odd shaped box.

EDIT: If you take into account wood thickness, make that around 9-10cuft. I'm also realizing that an 18 wont fit the way I want, so i'm thinking of 2 15s instead. luckily for me the air you need for 1 18 is the same for 2 15s

  2. Well I'm currently running two 12's with 1.5cu ft each powered by a US Amp md1d and am wanting to get DC's but before i do i want to make sure it'll match up right or if any upgrades would be needed. I would like to get the lvl 3 12's but is 1200w going to be sufficient? Thats what the amp is rated and I'm not sure if its underrated or not. And the box is already made so 1.5cu ft is the most i can get right now. By the way, my current 12's are cvr's, so if anyones had cvr's then dc's is there a huge difference? The cvr's don't pound enough for me anymore. Also, stock batt and alt.

    Thanks.

is that 1200w rms? and at how many ohms? The level 3's are rated for 600w rms so, 1200w rms would be more than sufficient

  3. or you could get the lvl 4 now. bang away and when you get money get your electical upgrades

then when you want more get another lvl 4 and 1200

its no fun to wait for new bass

you do have a very good point there, plus the money i save by getting a level 4 over an XL could go towards the electrical. Two 18"s could never fit in my car though, my trunk is a decent size, but i don't think i could fit a box that's 12cuft inside without taking out the back seat. box wise i'm also thinking sub facing front, port facing back/trunk, since my trunk rattles really bad and will absorb some dB, and i can just open the arm rest and there'll be a nice hole for the 18 to plow through.

  4. The gain is about halfway up and the bass boost is all the way up. I'm going to go play with it some more and get back to you.

and I have 4 gauge rockford wire for power and ground, I would switch to 0 AWG, but seeing how the SAE-1200D is rated for 600W at 2 ohms and these subs are rated 400W. I'd rather not blow them since sundown amps are usually way underrated =P

Yeah, so it turns out, somehow the gain and bass eq were all the way up, thanks for the help guys =]

  5. How much pre-out voltage do you have and where are the gain and bass boost set ?

  6. **NOTE: This item currently has a 7-10 Business Day wait before shipped, but is availible for purchase. Your amp will be shipped 7-10 Business Days after your order is placed and paid for.

that is if you bought refurb

Yeah I bought it refurb, they also sent me an update early last week saying they'd be shipping friday or early next week (which is now this week.) They seem pretty busy though. I'm sorry i'm just so anxious for this amp to get here
