  1. like everyone else is telling you, contact microsoft and send that baby in. Not trying to start anything, but I sure am glad my ps3 never red rings =P
  2. I'd have to go with the bigger end with a low tuned port, sealed boxes just rob you of SPL so don't even think about those =P
  3. dude, it may be a little car, but the trunk in it is MASSIVE. I have 48" wide, 22" deep, and 19" tall (11.6 cuft) to work with without making an odd shaped box. EDIT: If you take into account wood thickness, make that around 9-10cuft. I'm also realizing that an 18 wont fit the way I want, so i'm thinking of 2 15s instead. luckily for me the air you need for 1 18 is the same for 2 15s
  4. is that 1200w rms? and at how many ohms? The level 3's are rated for 600w rms so, 1200w rms would be more than sufficient
  5. yeah, but he did tests with conditions that i'll never meet. Realistically i'll be pushing 1500 tops http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=50753 and this topic shows him pushing 1770wrms
  6. actually i can fit a box that's 11.6 cu ft with a height of 19" in there, with room to spare, so 2 18"s could be a possibility later on =]
  7. nah that's alright, I understand where you're coming from though. If i were getting 12"s that would work out amazingly.
  8. you do have a very good point there, plus the money i save by getting a level 4 over an XL could go towards the electrical. Two 18"s could never fit in my car though, my trunk is a decent size, but i don't think i could fit a box that's 12cuft inside without taking out the back seat. box wise i'm also thinking sub facing front, port facing back/trunk, since my trunk rattles really bad and will absorb some dB, and i can just open the arm rest and there'll be a nice hole for the 18 to plow through.
  9. Oh yeah does does sound good, but before I can get a second amp, i'll need a new alternator and additional battery. So i'll have to do that down the road when I have more money
  10. yeah i eventually do plan to upgrade my amp later down the road, maybe in 6 months or so, so it looks like i'll be getting an XL =] thanks for the opinions guys. now, to email rusty
  11. oh yeah i'm definitely sure the XL has more performance, but like Ih8tpunkrok up there, I don't think it's enough power. I don't know if an underpowered XL would give me the same results as an over powered 4. I know the SAE-1200D is underrated just as these subs are.
  12. Right now i'm running on an SAE-1200D and these puny little 12" subs and I thought it would be a good time to upgrade =] I just wanted some opinions on which would work better, since im not sure if the 1200D will satisfy an XL. what do you think?
  13. I'm not pushing it very hard with the lower power, so I don't see how it's going to fry. It's still getting a good amount of power regardless. Like I said though, I plan on upping it soon. I mean I could be wrong, please correct me if Iam
  14. Yes it did fix the problem =] I'm still running on stock battery and alternator. With 4 gauge wire to the amp, and amp to ground. Big three has not been upgraded. I'm planning on upgrading everything in the future.
  15. Yeah, so it turns out, somehow the gain and bass eq were all the way up, thanks for the help guys =]
