im lookin at $100 to 150 or so for first place..it also depends on the # of entry's

So this will be the 1st annual October Cash Smash, a 4 week event, the next 4 weeks we will be having 4 seperate shows at the Ultimate Electronics on 84th ave and i25.
BASS CONTROLwill be 29.9 class and 39.9 class only. and 1st place takes home $$$$$$$Cash$$$$$$$
there will also be POWER verses POWER SPL. a 2x point event
this will be WALL, NO wall and Trunk combined. This will be metered in all three Locations to determine your True "legal" SPL score. unless
---A.) 0 - 2500 (2 batt limit) or within 220ah. etc...
----B.) 2501 - 5000 (4 batt limit)
-----C.) 5001- 10000 (8 batt limit)
------D.) 10001-16000 (12 batt limit)
-------E.) 16000 + (unlimited batt limit)
so here are the dates
October 10th
October 17th
October 24TH
October 30th will be a BASSCONTROL AND LOW END MONSTER EVENT. we will have a best holloween costume award, the woofer toss, and SUB bowling.
Entry Fee will be $30 for the first event, and $40 for SPL and BASSCONTROL
For Each additional event, the entry fee is $10.00
For those Competitors wanting to enter other events for Points, such as (TSPL) (PSPL) Low end monster or DTP. points will be carried over to next year. although no awards will be given for events not on this venue, ONLY POINTS.

just expect the bolts to be broken when your done. they make an impact Screwdriver, handheld, and the heads will break right off..
so be prepared because you will be drilling those bitches out.
or you could use acetone and let it soak and break the superglue holding the screws in. lol..

i'm sure you already checked this, but are you sure it is your alt making the noise?
you know i oiled all the pully bearings and the airconditioner. but it only happens when i get heavy on the stereo and that alternator kicks it

Ok.... so here is the problem, My alternator is a 240 H/O. it charges my battery bank of 10 batts in back. it used to be just fine. but my brother over filled my power steering fluid and at a show i was giving the vehicle gas to keep the rpm up and it overflowed due to the hydroboost. And my alternator just went into perminant squak mode.
so here is a list of things i have done:
1.) Sprayed all the pullies with brake cleaner
2.) Put on a new Belt 1/2in shorter
3.) Put on a new Tensioner Pully assembly
4.) used Belt dressing
5.) had my alternator guy put a new front bearing in it
and still when i start it up i get a little squack but it goes away until i turn up the stereo and demand power out of it. And i have 2 runs of 4/0, not 4 guage, 4/0 directly off the alternator to the back.
SO WTF?????
i cant figure it out.

just wondering if a circuit breaker such as
would work as well as a 250 amp fuse? would there be more resistance or would it work fine.
i'd rather flip a switch if i pop a fuse, than going threw the motions of switching fuses. thanks for the help.

I just thought it was time to post up some of the Events (coSPL) will provide for the competitors in the 2011 season.
Colorado is the MOTHER CHAPTER for SPLeague (Sound Pressure League). The "Co" simply stands for Colorado. if other states join they can use their State abreviation. etc....
every state can carry and hold their own that follow the same rule guidlines.
This will be Sponsored by AUDIOWRAP, and Presented by R.I.P. (rest in peace)
BASSCONTROL 2 out of 3. head to head 30 sec average on music. 29.9, 39.9 49.9 59.9
PSPL (PureSPL)
1.)BOX class and (this is for the highest possible score from a box)
2.)VEHICLE class (this is for the concrete vehicles going for world record test tones only class)
TSPL (TrueSPL) anywhere in front of the front seats, (looking for highest Possible score the vehicle can produce) (this will be a two score event. MUSIC and TONE)
1) Trunk
2.) NO Wall is seperated by two power classes. that is it.
3.) WALL .2 classes single sub wall - 2 18s, and multiple sub walls and up.
DTP [(B]Disturbing the Peace)[/b] = loudest recorded score outside of the vehicle,
12 inches outside and center of window)
(DTP) will be done at every show, and all scores will be recorded throughout the year, at the end of the year a HEAVYWEIGHT BELT will be handed out at finals for the one that is just flat out loud as FUK! (And this is a Music only event, 30 seconds full tilt)
Finals will have a:
1.) BATTLE of the TRUNKS.
2.) PORT SHOOT OUT
3.) a Contest to find the true LOW END MONSTERs, (Highest Spl at Lowest Possible
Frequency) this is a 2 out of 3 head to head event. your frequency's will not be
known till the second before your run. you both will have 5 sec time limit to hit
your frequency, there will be a winner of that round, and another round and a
final round to determin who is louder on the lower ends of the frequency
spectrum. (the frequencies you pick will be out of a hat, Old school style).
a.)single sub - 2 12s
b.) 2 15s - 2 18s- 3 12s
c.) 3 15s and up
Every show there will be AWARDS for
1.)[/LOW END MONSTER (highest spl at lowest number HZ) you will have 2 ot of 3
trys to come up and hit the lowest frequency possible and have the highest SPL.
2.) BEST INSTALL
FINALS... will be held at Bandimere speedway, in Morrison Colorado In Sept 2011, on Labor day
At finals there will be a
1.) BATTLE OF THE TRUNKS
2.) LOW END MONSTER
3.) BEST INSTALL
4.) BEST SQ
5.) PORT SHOOTOUT (PSPL)
6.) VEHICLE Class FINALS (PSPL)

If you are interested in Hosting a SPLeague Show in your town the Fee will Be $100. this fee will go into the "Spleague FINALS FUND" in which will be put towards the Rediculous Tropnys, heavyweight belts and Cash Prizes at Finals.
Entry fees will be $30 for the 1st event, and $10 for Each Additional event afterwards.
1st place .................= 50points
2nd place .................= 40points
3rd place ................= 30 points
4th p;ace .................= 20 points
5th place .................= 10 points
each event entered ...= 30 points
Each state will have their leader boards as far as points are conerned.
i will take the top five and invite them for the Elite Class at finals,
AND then there will be the Open invitation for all other Competitiors to come compete at finals in the Redemtion class, All events will be open to you as well that day. (sometimes you dont get your build done until late due to Disaster and shit blowing)

u suck at reasing lol. i told u i havent filled that void yet with foam haha.
the roof is gonna flex still. it should have had like 3 layers of sound deadner on the roof first. but im sure you will gain a good 3 db from the solid roof. you need a perminent brace welded from the steel roof to the floor.

2nd Annual Highschool Drags Stereo Competition
Bandimere Speedway
BASSCONTOL (does not favor the person with the most money or loudest stereo system, this is a comptition on how well you can control your sound system!)
For the PRO CLASSthis is for anyone that is not in highschool)
The event will be a BassRace style event called BASSCONTROL
this is a head to head, 30 sec average on music with 3 classes:
129.9, 139.9 and 149.9
BASSCONTROL is a MUSIC ONLY event. you will start your run and try to end with the averaged score ending with one of the 3 catagories listed above, WITHOUT GOING OVER! and still beat the guy in the lane next you, as long as you beat him without going over at anytime in your run, you will move on to the next round of eliminations.
you will have to win 2 out of 3 runs, and the Finals will be 3 out of 5
And we will have 1st place trophys for each CLASS
For the HIGHSCHOOL CLASS it will be a Flat out 30 second BASSCONTROL run between you all to find out who has the loudest 30 sec average ON MUSIC.
and there will also be a LOUDEST OF THE DAY AWARD for the HIGHEST SPL of the day
and this is all out balls to the wall,,,, Test tone or music! mic must be in front of the B-Piller
the competition will start at 100pm registration is open from 8 am till 1200,
competition starts at 100, and it will be $20 per competitor

so theres one layer of steel done
i have a headliner ready to be put up and welded thats 1/8" thick steel plate. i will still be able to put my headliner back up. i will fill the void between the steel and roof with expanding foam.

now that bracing right there will put you in the 60s. easily! r you gonna run a center brace from the roof to the floor as well?
and i watched the videos and i bet this thing plays loud all day!

what kinda numbers have you done in that stang?

i build big.... my buddy put 2 10in diamand audios in a 9 cubic foot box with this port you could crawl in and did a 145 on music.
i believe in the big port theory, your port should be a minimum of 16sqin per 1 foot of box airspace. and use a port calculator to tune the frequency.
also.... if you build your own sub. or recone it and decide to stiffen up the suspension by say adding 4 or 5 stiff spiders. the Subwoofer will control itself and at that point the box is just a means to amplify and produce a bigger sounding wave when it comes out the port.

You should bump those 1500s up to 3000s and you might break a 160.
