You really might wanna deaden the truck, your getting alot of panel rattle making finding a problem even harder but thats prolly where the problem lies. There are alot of products to use like SS, hushmat and others to do the trick. It really sounds like the subs are fine and your just getting cabin noise and mistaking that for bad sounding subs.
yea bro, i never thought of that, thanks for the help! i'll take the box out and listen to it outside the truck but yea i bet that is the problem thanks alot.

i'll take the subs out of the box and get a better look of them and see if i can see any problems and yes i will try to get a vid up of this horrible noise.
Here is the youtube link for the vid, sorry for the poor quality, my camera is screwed up atm and i had to use my phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJLL6aRYcxA

If you have a ported box place a hand over the ports and see if that stops it, if not pull the grills and lightly tug on the surrounds to see if they have broke free from the basket.
thanks for the help but, just tried both those suggestions and neither worked the surrounds are still secure in place and putting my hand over the port doesn't make a difference, the horrible sound still exists...

Pull the seat fowards and see if you get the same sound
yea i tried that as well, didn't help, same sound...could this be a port problem? or is something wrong with the sub?

First thing that came to mind.
i guess if it was rubbing against something the only thing would be the seat, and like i said, i put grills over the subs to keep it off the seat and it didn't make a difference.

If its a single cab, sub might be rubbing against something.
yea its a single cab, the seat is right up against the box and the subs i put some grills over the subs but it didn't help, same farting sound.

Hey guys, my two 8's in a ported box on a ZX 300.1 Kicker Amp have been making this horrible noise it almost sounds like a fart, is the best way i can describe it. The box is right behind my seat in my 1990 Chevy. Ideas on how this problem was caused and how i can resolve it and is it serious?
