Alright, so I have a really old Compaq Presario (can't find model) with an AMD-K6 3D Processor (don't know clock speed) and 184MB of RAM. It's got a 20 GB HDD and some sort of SiS video card with 8 MB of video memory. I would like to utilize this computer as a print server. Since my printer can't be networked directly (no Ethernet port on the back), I have to run it through a comp first. I'd like to network the Compaq, and run the printer through it so that I can print from anywhere in the house. Anyways, Windows 98 is shit, and I'm wondering if there's any older version of Ubuntu or the Linux GUI family that I could install on the Compaq just to use as a print server. Thanks in advance -Alex

Nice sub for home theater
BassJunkie27 replied to BassJunkie27's topic in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
Thanks! I'll look at that! And I'm actually looking for something that all comes as one unit, such as a Klipsch Syntergy Sub 10. It's the sub, the enclosure, and the amp all in one. Edit: The STF-2 looks amazing, but it's a little out of my budget. As well as the STF-1, but it doesn't go as low or loud as I'd prefer. -
Nice sub for home theater

Thanks a lot mate! And yea I love them, treossi. I do have one question for you, Mick... What do you mean by huff and puff for the tuning? Do you mean it will be extremely difficult or just slow or what? Sorry I'm just slightly confused! It's been a long day (dealing with family "function"), and I'm kinda out of it, while playing MW2, lol. -
Alright, I'm kinda stuck here. I'm looking to buy a nice sub for a small room (10x10 aprox., didn't measure). I like alota bass and I'm looking for something not boomy but HQ as well as something that will shake the walls. I'm currently using the sub from a Logitech Z-2300 system, but I've outgrown it. It's too directional, and I've hit it's limit plenty of times, plus it can't go down further than 35 Hz. I had my eye on a BIC V1020, but I'm not sure so do you have any comments for that? I really want a Klipsch Synergy Sub 10, but it's too expensive for my budget Any ideas? Oh yea, I almost forgot, my budget. I don't wanna spend a lot on the sub, as I still have yet to buy a receiver/speakers (Onkyo TX-SR507/Dayton HTS-1200B). And I'm not quite clear on how much I will have to spend, but it's definitely at least $385. Thanks in advance!

The links for the 3.0 firmware that you sent me, Kranny, are broken. I'll look for other 3.0 firmware though. -

First, thanks for the speedy response, lol. You've helped me before, so I trust your help. Anyways, I never upgraded to the new 3.1.4 or w/e it is firmware, I'm still using the 2.2.1 and according to the QuickFreedom process that's what I need. I might just give up on QuickFreedom and go with what you sent me, because I'm starting to get really pissed off. -
God I hate Windows. Anyways, in the whole jailbreaking process of an iPod Touch 2G, when I get to the part that requires me to restore the iPod to the custom firmware, it says the firmware is not compatible and won't let me do it. I've been searching around for quite a while and I haven't found anyone who seems to have the same problem. Any advice? I'm using QuickFreedom, with the Redsn0w patch and 24kPwn and all that stuff.
