Your tuning is all preference. Most pre fab boxes are tuned at 45+ hrtz. If you build an enclosure build for your subs it will sound better IMO
-
It's a hatchback 240sx with the S15 front conversion, it's not a S15, just the front end is.
Here is ur answer

yea a 3000w amp making 1300w seems great to me.
Well the amp is rated 1500 rms @ 1ohm per channel, and he is running 2ohm per channel and getting 1300rms to each sub. Also stock alt and only an extra yellow top running it....so yeah id say thats doin pretty good...
-
thats some funny shiz
-
way to go mang, bump bump bump it up

I have good luck with their amps. Im thinking of trying s pair of there SPL series 15s in my car just to hear em. A buddy local to me has two of them in his blazer in a pre fab box running a 30001d at 1300w clamped..doing 147.6 on the dash. so they cant be all that bad IMO

what is mdf going for where everyone is? for me its $27.37 for 4x8 sheet

nothing really any cheaper, honestly u can use bondo, if its a small whole, most times it will crack and fall out. Using fiberglass resin is probably your best bet. small piece of cloth on the backside of the whole, let it set up, use some bondo on the front side (if needed) to smooth it out then sand and paint. Just my .02

bro i dont mean to bring any trouble and make you hate me, im just telling it how it is, i didnt make the rule up.. if the rule wasnt made i wouldnt have brought it up...this rule is just like any other rule for example you cannot sell if you dont have 150 posts and or if you dont have a user name or date right.. anyway me posting in this thread is done.
cool mang no hard feelings, chuck one up for the new guy to the forum....
-
Any attention to the board since you've been here? You would have seen this asked and ripped apart (some locked) about people asking what will I hit. The only reason people post is to up their post count.
Well my mistake, i hope this one gets locked. I didn't realize that post count was so important? Sorry to bother you all
-
this thread was started to be a joke, im starting to think everyone takes it all way too seriously. damn you guys are so touchy, if you thought it was a failure from the start why did you post on it?
-
I don't see how it could be an epic fail? post your opinion or don't. End of story. Yes i was being a smart ass because i thought the point of SMD was to discuss car audio and related topics. Sorry if im out of line for asking what people think. I didn't post this topic to get anyone pissed off. I really just wanted to hear what people thought two fubar 15s on 2k would do in a civic hatch. If its a big problem i hope someone deletes the thread lol
-
sorry bro but its been a rule FOR OVER A YEAR NOW ON SMD that DONT ASK WHT YOUR CAR WILL HIT. HOW WOULD WE KNOW WHAT IT HITS? I MEAN WHY ASK US WHY NOT ASK YOUR SELF?
look bro we all know what you tell us
Theres no reason to get all pissy, if you look i havent been a member of smd for a year so how would i know this? Im just looking for guesses, i doubt anyone will say 144.6 and it mic a 144.6. chill out if you dont care to guess, dont post....
-
Id say between a 140-145...
Thanks at least someone is willing to throw a likely number out there.
I just wanted to see what u guys would guess at then post what it does...guess its too much
-
Ok well i guess the forum isnt for any amount of imagination. I guess a car audio forum is the wrong place to discuss car audio. thanks we'll see ya
-
yes i know without a crap load of pics or actually hearing it its hard to say, but based on what ya know I'm curious. Honestly the setup is pretty solid minus the subs lol. I know im not running 8k worth of power or anything but i didnt build this car to be loud. I am still shopping for subs by the way....nothing crazy loud but i do want 4-6 of them
-
i have to agree here, your best off to load some carbs and maybe some protein early before your run. You dont want to be trying to run track with all that excess water...
-
c mon guys be realistic here. im honestly lookin for guesses. me personally im thinkin around the 143.0 mark But we'll see
-
Ok i want to know your honest opinions on something. Im going to a midwest spl show tomorrow. I wasnt planning to run my car because its no where near done. Anyways ive been talked into it.... here is what im using...
My 93 civic hatch (walled off behind rear windows)
Have an AP30001d for subs
Im Running two deka 7kd batterys (same as a XS2400)
Ok the subs are the catch, all i have layin around is some PA Fubar 15s, brand new never used. Dual 4s
The box is 7.1 Cubes, tuned at 35hertz. Box is 1.5" mdf and glasses inside and out. Subs up port out the rear. Im just curious as to what you guys think its gonna do on the TL tomorrow? You wont hurt me feelings here.
Im also running knu 1/0 throughout the car and a 200a alt, so voltage drop isnt an issue for the Audiopipe. Anyways let me know. Ill post up some pics and maybe a video tomorrow and we'll see who guesses the closest
-
Not true haha i was just saying if your pushing to sell a product you should know a little about it first. no disrespect here
-
I have to agree, If you're a dealer wouldn't you have a birth sheet on your amps? Not tryin to sound like a dick but it seams logical....
On another note i have seen the older t1 15s take around 2k constantly without problems. I don't know if id recommend it....But its been done lol
-
Ive done a hairtrick with a single 15" sub on 2K rms. Was a dual 2ohm db drive sub in a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia thou....very small car. So it is possible but its going to depend alot on the vehicle and setup...IMO
Nice surprise
