  1. If you're a grown ass man getting pastels.......... someone finish it. :|

Well I didn't stick around very long, but I walked by the tent twice, once there was a man getting one... other time there was a guy holding a baby (like maybe 2-3 months old) and the sketch was of just the baby.

I guess with the baby one it would be "cute" or w/e but are you going to keep that for 10+ years and then show it to the kid later .. or?

  2. I was at a fair today (Butler fair in Prospect/Butler Pennsylvania) and there was a tent there with 2-3 people in it doing pastel sketches (I guess that's what you'd call it). For $10 you got a sketch of your head, $15 and you got your head and body (totally not worth it.. your body was really small and head still huge) and then prices went up from there for .. I don't know what else they would include as I wasn't interested.

That's cool if you have that talent, good for you. But cmon...seriously? If you get one of these sketches, what do you do with it (the sketch) ? You look at it, pay (or maybe you pay before..I don't know) and then what? Are you going to take it home and get it framed? Doubt it. Are you going to take it home and show "the guys" when they come over? Doubt it..

    So why get it?

  3. To all the troops that fight and put their lives on the line to protect my family friends and my way of life.and to those who have given their lives for my freedom. you are the reason we can all say what we want and enjoy our hobbys. so i tip my hat and say thank you

    Yes, thank you.

But I drove by a church today somewhere around Butler, PA that had on their sign thing out front "Thank God for our (or maybe it was your) freedom" .. yeah, I'm not so sure about that.. everybody isn't "free", are they?

  4. does anyone have any music vids on a dvd or reg cd that works in their radio that can make me copy? willing to pay i cant figure it out and its starting to frustrate me. thanks.

I'm sorry, but seriously.. how hard is it? Do you have a blank dvd-r ? (CD might work.. but lets try it on dvd first so you don't try it on a cd then it not work and you be like.. well fuck.. it doesn't work .. and that being because it just won't work on a cd)

Buy (..or find.. but, you wouldn't do that, of course..) the music video you want, buy (..or download, but you wouldn't do that..) it.. then go download a program called "super" (free program) and put the video in, hit a couple buttons making it so it will come out mpeg 1, then hit another button so it (super) can do it's magic and make the video mpeg 1, then put the video (using nero or something) on the dvd and try that. I'd make a video mpeg 1 for you to try, but 1) I CBA, and 2) I don't think it would be that legal.. (sharing the vid..)

  5. "JVC designed the KD-NX5000 to play all sorts of movie formats when you're parked, including regular DVDs, DVD-R and DVD-RW, MPEG 1 and 2 formats, and DivX movie files."

Have you tried playing a regular dvd on it? Try that so you know what you have to do to play a movie (or music video..) and then encode your music videos as mpeg 1 or 2 or divx.. and put on a cd (I dunno if this will work, I guess it would? But not sure..) or blank dvd-r or dvd-rw..

  6. i have to agree, it's a Japanese car. rice IMO is when you have parts on there you didn't earn. for example... lambo doors on a fully stock car. another is no engine mods, no suspension upgrades, no system, no paint custom, & some vinyl graphics on the sides. everything has it's place on a ride but you have to earn it IMO. i think people throw that "rice" term around too loosely these days.

personally i like those first ones with the two halo's. i don't really like the led's on the sides but the centered halo's are tight

I like the ones with halo's too.. but all aftermarket hids have halos  so it's not unique or anything.. and the leds on the side (and halo's, too) are wired separately ... you don't HAVE to hook them up.

  7. Yeah I was looking at some of them on ebay, they all look rice. I want something that looks like it came from the factory. If my car was black, it would be easy find, but silver is a hard color to work with. And I've noticed too with cheaper projector lens' the cutoff is still kinda scattered where as the expensive ones it is dead on cutoff.

There are some cars you see on the road that don't have factory projectors, but they have nice projectors, good cutoff and all.. where do they get them? I don't know, do they make them? Doubt it.. but I can't figure out where they get them.

I'm fairly sure that everything you will find on ebay will not have a good cutoff.

I just looked on ebay, and at least you have a couple options.

You have these, but "everybody" has these..and they are fairly rice.

    OR

    These ones are less rice...

    OR

These.. these are the only ones that I can find that have projector lenses for both low and high beam, all the others only have for low beam.. Personally, I don't care for the outside lens though..and the blue of course...

And then you have these...probably your best bet if you're going with something like ebay..

  8. I stopped reading at $550.

You spent $550 to get your brake lines fixed?

I had a clutch replaced and far less cheap then that. But then again I didn't go to the stealership. I hope they did more then just do your brake lines. O_O

How much was it to get the clutch replaced? We used to have a car (90 fiesta or some shit) that needed the clutch replaced, but we were told it was going to be at least over $1k (new clutch and labor).

About 2 years ago my mom took her jeep to a jeep dealer to have them look at it, she thought the rearend needed replaced/rebuilt/whatever.. so she took it to have them look at it. We (I was with her) sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours, for them to tell us that it does/will soon. Cost about $200.. they did NOTHING else to the vehicle..
