Been too busy to remember to post pics of any builds. Here's a couple boxes I did a couple weeks ago.

I hear 2:1 is a good place to start, like 3ft^3/6ft^3,6"aero/12"aero, 60hz/30hz
That will be very musical with great low extension, but probably not give you the output you're looking for.

is there a general rule of thumb with 6th order? like 4th i always see 1:2 with 15sq port per cube and tune 40ish
so what general rules for 6th? or is none?
that's not a general design that I often see for a 4th order. A
There's not really any general rules of thumb for 4th or 6th order. It's all dependent on your goals.

I can do a design for you if you have not found one yet.

rated 1000rms@2ohm. Can be strapped. Of course, super underrated and can run lower ohm loads with proper electrical.

takes power to make power. Find out how much amperage your amp can draw and you'll realize you can't put an alternator that big on your vehicle.

I got 2 saz-1500's I'd sell for $500+shipping

lol No and den for a few days, I'm taking off

not a bad little saw for $100. Get to work

Starting a new build for Dasninja's minivan. 2 18" sundown nightshades in a kerf ported wall:
I have not been doing too many kerfs lately, nothing like jumping right into a full 4'x8' sheet
half way there, I forgot how long it takes to cut kerfs with a circular saw
time to bend

lots of sanding and high build / filling primer. mdf sucks up primer like a sob so I usually do 2 coats, sand up to 600 and paint.

Yeah , that gave me a little bit of a headache lol, i guess smooth port is better on the meter then
yessir, my testing confirms better scores with a painted port. But all my ports are done glass smooth.

Pretty nice flex. What did you set the gain with? From past experience my 9886 started clipping at volume 24. Hard to tell from the video what model number the deck is.
It's also a 9886. As far as I know this cd player does not clip at full volume. I rarely go past 33 of 35 but I have no audible distortion at 35 of 35. If you heard clipping at 24 there's a good chance something was wrong.

I'm going to try to make it later on in the afternoon.

That's doing really good for how little power is on it. Any plans to upgrade the amp and electrical in the future?

I did a design for fecupe2001's explorer that got him a record. Pm me if you want to get really loud .
-
Thanks Javier. Yes, it does very well in a 4th order, I was a little surprised myself.
-
no, it's been modified half a dozen times and is ugly as sin. I'm good at making boxes pretty so I'd rather not even show this one. It's getting redone again very shortly lol.
