It´s hersIts a beast alright..... If you load it down to battery level it does 160-170 at idle. Pretty nasty for an alt doing over 420 amps

An idea to this is, to create a voteprotected 1%er SmD-team (SHIT movin DIX), what u only can join if u voted in SOTM for the monthes where u vote + the competitors.
If u didnt vote or competit in the month u cant join the team, for this month. The appointment of the team is to move the shit with there dix, of all SMD-Members who not voted in SOTM,

Aight well I had to be at work so I let my friend work on my system for me.. apparently my power wire connecting my amp to the battery was a direct contact.. he didnt use a Fuse Holder which makes my amp stay on 24/7.. next day i try to start my truck it wouldnt start.. even though i got a new battery.. 3k watts on for 9 hours kinda killed it for that day. whats the purpose of a fuse holder? im pretty sure since i dont have one installed on my positive terminal thats why my amp stayed on? not sure but i wonder whats the problem.. and whats a really good fuse holder kind so ima go buy one today for it.

First off, unless im retarded and missed it, shouldnt we find out what vehicle he has and what that vehicles alternator is? My Trailblazer has a 150 amp stocker... And just changing the Big 3 would be enough for what hes doing... Not everyone in car audio needs a HO Alternator...
From over 600 Watt RMS would be absolut mostley nice to have bigger alt, or u have ur car every week on the battcharger. And how easy is it today to have a caraudio that throws more on the speakers and than u hurt ur electrical system with to less power.

2. do your "big 3" upgrade
3. Replace the underhood battery with an AGM or GEL battery with a high A/H rating on it(cranking and cold cranking mean nothing to us right now)
4. do atleast 1 run of 1/0 from front to rear
5. add atleast 1 more HUGE (100+A/H) battery in the rear for amplifier support.
you DID ask a dumb question. you WILL NOT get "clean" power from your stock alt and stock battery when running 2.5k watts. HAHA. do not listen to everybody who says to do it anyways. theres a difference between doing it and doing it right.

here is my deal. i am/have been building my car slowly for 5 years now. as money allows. the end result is a turbo'd 4 cylinder with 3" exhaust and stiff suspension. equaling a fair amount of vibration and road noise. my previous build was the same car (daily driven) and the stock deadener kept the noise talerable but i want this to be nicer. since i will have less interior (show & go car) to absorb noise and vibration. because the car will not be a daily driven where my last my last one.
sooo..... when i had my rollcage put in the stock deadener was peeled up in some area's to allow for the proper plating to be welded in. along with being 10 years old and crusty i pulled it all out. so i am simply looking for something to replace the removed stock crap. granted second skin is going to be superior to the tarish crustation from ford. im thinking the damplifier will do the job from what i have read but i just want some second opinions. so im looking to cover the floor (which was stock), some of the roof (all new), and areas of side panels/doors (mixed between stock and new).

*sigh* there are hundreds of options for a sub and amp combo. i just said one really quick. they are great amps and so are the subs. i didnt say "this is the best option". why not try to help the kid instead of picking apart my post or being the millionth person to suggest a funky pup? not trying to fight with you man, i just think we should help instead of nit picking opinions.

I guess u to dig the "want to sell" topic, there u can see offers and check in the net back what is a good offer.
My personal advice there still 2 15 DC lvl 4 XL in these thread for 250 each, and 1 of these 2500 Diabolo amps. Otherwise every friendknown or miscknown firm that advertise here in the forum is known for a fine quality, if u want to buy some new, check them out.

dont worry about these guys. for some reason most people on this forum would rather talk about stupid shit than actually help new members. mixing brands is not a problem at all. and forget about JL and Sony. ill tell you what a bad ass setup would be: 2 15" FI BTLs powered by 2 sundown saz2000s. but that means a high output alt and several extra batteries to power those amps. what we would really need is a budget if you actually want to buy a sub stage. feel free to PM me. ill take the time to help you out.
