  1. When I calculated with an aero they were 16" long. I was gonna run a pair of 4", 16" long. Depth is 20" , so I would have roughly 4" from the end of the port to the inside wall.

Plus with the .47 displacement that is both subs @ .17 & the top of the enclosure has angles at the top corners, that came out to .13 cu ft displacement.

  2. Vehicle is a 98 Mercury Sable! I normally drive with the rear seats down, so firing forward has been actually louder during my testing. My front stage is still a work in progress, running off the headunit right now!

Plus working on a budget, I still havent deadened the car yet and dont plan to till prolly fall!

    The enclosure I have in there now, is a single sub setup, that is 13.5H x 18D x 26.5W with a 12" x 2.5 x 30" port tuned to 29hz.

I was thinking running an aeroport to save on space so not to have as big of an enclosure!

  3. Hey guys, I am working on designing a new enclosure for a pair of 12's. Total displacement is .47 of the enclosure for subs and angles.

    The specs are 36" W x 20" D x 13.5" H

I was thinking 2- 4"x 16" aeroports dead center in the enclosure.

According to my math, tuning should be around 30hz.

If someone could assist me in this that would be great as I dont have a computer so I cant use torres' box calculater as I am on mobile!

    Thanks guys

    Mike

  4. A lot has to do with how solid the truck is! Does it have all the sheet metal? Condition of what chrome and glass (windows) is on the truck? I can say no doubt you could easily double what you paid, just need to find the right buyer. I would put it on Ebay with a reserve around $2500, and see what happens. Truck looks pretty solid from the pics, original color as well, which helps in selling older collectibles and projects, cause people dont have to guess on if it had multiple paint jobs or not.

If I didnt have so many projects in waiting I would definately be interested, but I have 2 bikes and a race car to finish.

Good luck on the sell, it wont be easy.

  5. Ill probably have to say a pair of really good friends of mine who have guided me in the direction I have had most success in.

Scott Massengill- 20+ years in the business, Owner of Onyx Mobile Audio.

Rob McDowell- 20+ years in the business, easily the best wiring and fabricator I have personally met and worked alongside of.

the list continues to grow of people I will turn to for guidance, but I am able to repay them with my knowledge of fabrication.
