Ive got an older cousin thats like 20 and hes always trying to look all kool and stuff and he is always talking shit like everything he has is better than mine but he never does anything to prove it. Well the other day his younger brother was looking at the Fi BL's online that i got for my new system and he said that Fi is a shitty company and when his brother told him that they were rebuildable he said I was lying and that i got the shittiest subs possible and that his Kicker CRV 12s were better... lolz my dad and i got a kick out of that one. well now i got to post up the build log.. let me know what you think

Okay so i was planning on getting a 260 amp alt from iraggi but my dad said that i could get the dual alt bracket for my car and i could just use two stock alts because my stock alt is i think 160 or 180 amps. And he owns an auto shop so id pay next to nothing for an alternator if i got a stock one through him. So can you all give me some opinions on this?

Toyota "stuck gas pedal"
ccrider540 replied to meade916's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
toyotas are infact good cars, probably one of most reliable cars actually. And i hate to burst ur bubbles but it was the toyotas made here in the USA that have the gas pedal problem. All the toyotas made in JAPAN are fine. My gf has a brand new corolla and she went to the dealer and thats what they told her. -
alright so i am planning on setting my gains with a multi meter once i install everything and then take it to a shop to have them fine tune everything... now the only problem is the two local shops that are like 5 mins from me do all of the tuning by ear and there is a shop about 40 mins from me that uses an o-scope. what should i do?

thats what i was thinking. ill take ur word for it man thanks for the help

ya i just checked it out and it makes almost 30 more amps at idle, that is im atlkin about the 260 vs the 300. But do u think ill be fine with the 260 amp alt for the three amps i have?

not really just trying to say an extra 50 bucks but i was thinking about sayin fuck it and get the 300

So im going to get a new alternator but im not sure what amp alt I will need. Im going to have two amps for my subs that both run at 1700 rms at 2 ohms and a 4 channel for my mids and highs that is 170 x 4 at 2 ohms. And i have 1 yellow top unnder the hood with the big three and i have 1/0 for everything. So I was thinking about a 260 amp alternator, will that be enough or should i get a 300 amp alt?

I have an amp that im going to run 15s off of and its a 1,2 and 4 ohm stable amp and i was looking at a chart that meade posted in a thread a while back with the voltage to set your gain at depending on the rms and ohm load and i was thinking about running both subs on a 1 ohm load at 2600 watts rms but then i was thinking about getting a second amp and running each sub off its own amp at 2 ohms each at 1700 watts. So i was wondering if it will be easier on the amp running at 1 ohm load at around 50 volts or running two amps each with a 2 ohm load at about 60 volts each?

ya they suck. my friend ordered like 700 dollars worth of stuff and everytime he called they told him something else was on back order and the stories all changed so he finally asked for his money back and they tok two weeks and he finally told them he would report them as a fraud and they sent his money back right away. WORST place to order from
