  1. Optimal amperage charge per battery for the larger 12V (D4700 and larger) batteries is 15amps per battery. Same goes for the 14V and 16V batteries.

The intelliSupply would go by the same thing, but you are purchasing a lot more than just a charger with these. You are getting a charger, maintainer, power supply, and battery recovery mode.

Me personally I would try to get as close to the 15 amps per that I could reasonable afford.

  2. The 925 will work if you use the 527 hold down. It puts it up on its side, and has the hardware for the side posts.

The 3400 and 4700 both have been used in applications like yours as well. Just would have to measure to see which works best for your application. Extending out your cables or switching everything over to ring terminals isn't difficult either. Just take a look and see what works best for you.

  3. Yeah your charge voltage is WAY low. Are you sure all of your sensors are still working properly. Not sure about your particular vehicle, but usually if you take the sensor on the stock negative wire off or it stops working it will jack up your computer and the charge voltage.3

Def charge the batteries when you get a chance.

  4. You either do not have your alt wired up correctly or your alt is not working. If everything is wired up correctly and you unhook the VCM controller, then the VCM has no impact on the output of the alternator. If you are reading 11.9 or 12V with the VCM unplugged, then you are only reading battery voltage.

Check your alternator and make sure everything is hooked up properly. If this is a single alternator set up, then you should just have to plug your stock harness into the alternator.

If this is a dual alt set up, then 99% of the problem is people do not wire the second alt up correctly. If you have a 4 pin oval alt you have to get power going into the alt to turn it on. THE VCM IS NOT DESIGNED TO DO THIS.

  5. The first idea we had was a windshield bashing competition. Line up everyone that wants to enter in one line. Everyone starts playing at the same time, and the first one to bust it out wins.

Then the reality of the days we live in kicked in and shut this idea down. XS Power and Slamology could be held liable for if someone entered the contest, smashed their windshield, and then had an accident on the way home from the show. Even with having them sign a release they could still come back on us and the show. Doesn't make sense, but could happen.

  6. The charger could have overcharged the battery, but if it overcharged it enough to hurt the battery then this post would have been titled "What is this rotten egg sulfur smell?".

I am guessing the battery is not charged up. You will see some drop in resting voltage, but not down to 12.1, unless you have something draining the battery a lot. I would charge the battery up (watching the charge voltage periodically with a multimeter) and then see what happens. The best way to do this would be with the battery out of the vehicle and then charge it up and let it set for 12-24hrs to see what the battery rests at not hooked up to anything. If it rests in the 12.8-13.2 range, then you know the battery is good.

If you have any questions just give us a call 888.497.7693. This is what we are here for. I know it is kind of strange anymore for a customer to be able to call and get actual customer support, but we still believe in that kind of thing.
