I think all the info is in the first post??
Right. But I found your Torres sheet in your thread and typed it in myself. I can't seem to get anywhere near .75 net tuned to 35hz myself... Waiting on an amp before I build my box but it would be awesome to have a box design ready. Mine will basically be like yours but rear facing

I just bought a m3 8 and am in need of a box design. Your dimensions would fit my trunk perfectly. Would you be willing to post a design, or a cut/build sheet?

looks like a monster in the making
working on it bossGet the other side done?
thanksThat looks good man, love that pallet of subs!
Great looking build man. These gonna be powered by the 2 9ks??
I sold the 9ks a while ago.
Plan on getting a pair of 10ks soon...
God damn! This is nasty!!! Wish I could hear something like this in person

Thats whats up twisted! Good luck everyone

I cannot wait to see some builds with the new Zs and Xs. Throw a box together for one of them now!!!I am very excited about this line... a truly high excursion line at reasonable prices. I had a very particular vision with this line in mind -- I was not happy with simply making an evolutionary step from the SA line as our previous prototype from a few years back was. I wanted a fully new platform line to delivery truly GREAT performance. I think once the final specs are released and people see / hear these they will be a big hit.
Another cool thing about the X series motor is that it can be pretty easily re-coned with many popular 3" coils from custom sources such as FixMySpeaker in case someone tears one up and wants to go that route Many 8-layer flats will fit the gap.

Sorry if I missed it but whats the mounting depth on that 12? And do you happen to know that it will be on the 18?
-
Man those are beautiful. Im pretty satisifed with my sa's but they seem like kids toys compared to these now. Those Z's are straight beast tho, Even compared to the X's. Cant wait to see the NS's but my next subs are pry going to be the Zs. Their nuts! Hopefully they dont rape my pockets... got 4 kids

custom 3.8 net cubes with 2x 2.5 round ports at 5 inches long with to SA 12's rear baffle lined with fleece.Decent sq but prefab Q slot port sounded better WTF?
Ive been told 2 4" aeros is a little under recommended port area . So 2 2.5's is definatley not enough
-
Holy f***, That thing is just nasty. Hopefully I can upgrade from my SA 12s down the road... Insane man

Well i didnt necessarily mean for your trunks, Could use one for a cpu sub or some cheap bass for some music in the crib
-
Seems like a good deal. Especially for the t400 or whatever... Dont really follow t3 to much besides the tsns
-
Nice. Cannot wait for the X line to drop. I got 2 sa12's right now... Practically brand new. Looking to sell when these come out. Id like to run just one 18". I wonder how 1 x18 is going to compare to 2 sa12's. Maybe I should save and get a z3?

So I am tinkering with the SA-10/12/15 design again... there are some things that I just have to try out. This could result in an actual v.2 revision at some point but I won't say it will be in 2012 as the current models are already extremely popular / awesome woofers and I am reluctant to mess with them much -- and it would have to be REALLY good to make the change. BUT I am *always* on the lookout for a way to improve even our best stuff -- that is just how I like to do it
SA-18 in 2012?

I would go with the sax 1200,much higher quality amp, smaller, and built to put out most of it's power when wired to 1ohm like most daily drivers. I believe Jacob has clamped around 1200@2ohm from the sax 1200.
quoted from sundown
I got the sample of my v.2 SAE-1200D in... testing is going quite well. Honestly... I need to change the part number to SAE-1500D on these *laughs*
TEST 1:
1 ohm nominal @ 60 Hz
1440 Watts
54.6 V
26.4 A
2.07 ohms
** Over rated power at 1 ohm nominal with 2x rise
Cool, thanks. Sae-1200 v2 it will be
-
What are the main differences between the 2 amps. Seen a couple online for damn near the same price and wondering which one is better? Or are they equal? (by better I mean which one puts out more power)
-
Would the sax 1200d be pretty much the same as the sae1200d test? I need to know
x2, Theirs a sax 1200d and a sae 1200d v2 for sale that Im looking at. Basically the same price on the site. Which one is a better amp/ puts out more power? Or whats the difference between the 2?

why would you tune so low?
I was asking about a Home Theater box... Not a car audio box. I know this sub isnt meant for it but...
-
Still small -- 0.6 cubes or so.
Cool, Thanks for the fast reply. Your customer service is always top notch. Sundown FTW
-
How many cubic ft would you recommend jacob? What about tuning? Would 28hz be ok? I would pry only have 2-300 watts on it.

Right, thanks I'll give it a try. How much power are you giving it? Sorry, 60+ pages is a lot to read thru.
