Rise on the 3.8 box was 4x.
-
The answer is no! The proper internal cube recommendation for your subs is 1.2 to 1.5 per driver. Any bigger and you'll loose control especially with power. These are what both Rusty and Thor recommend. That said I began with a box that was 3.8 cubes and have reduced it down to near 3 prior to building another starting at 3 cubes.

Yuck jvc 2.5 volt out
-
8" port = 11" flair

Considering I am able to burp a 9k on 70 amps of fusing I would say 250 is way overkill. In my class I run 170 amps of fusing total split between 3 inputs. But then again my scores are hindered a few db from the restriction.

Yea something like that. but really the wooden ones SUCK! Try the tennis ball thing.
-
one non perminate solutiion you can try prior to any thing else is to use a ratchet strap.
-
xscorpian has a nice urethane one in 2 different sizes for under 10. If you want a wooden one I send you mine just pay for shipping. I was going to throw it away

I'm having a hella time with mine double and triple check your hood latch mine flew up on the freeway and buggered up my new paint, windshield and hood. PS I have managed a 152.3 MECA (which is 3 db down from glass) but I'm still working Hard on it.

You had better give rusty a kiss that body kit is over 700 dealer cost. I think I am going to have to pop rivet it from the inside on the doors too.

Every time you pester or whine about delays you get moved to the back of the line.

My teammate Kr15 has been competing with a Saturn for a couple of years if anyone knows about this car it's him.
-
These are some crazy scores Gents!
Can we get some collaboration? Lets get this in the DC Competitor thread!
Where is this Thread? And if it is somewhere around here why isn't it STICKY'd?
-
I know someone else who is doing 6 15"s in a Silverado.
-
What's up Ray are you ready to demo this yet?
-
Yes 3 will fit! On our team we have 3 s10's running the following configurations.
4 15" walled tl 154 clamped 3k
2 18" walled tl 152 clifdesigns 6500
2 15" below the window like 146 AQ 3500 limited with a 40 amp fuse
-
As always Ray Maestas has taken home 3 1st place trophys. Ray is on the top of his game and was competing against a world champion and displayed his skills in the lane. Ray who represents both Team DC Audio and Team Flex Issues is due respect earned in the lane. I believe Anna, Rusty and Thor also took home 1st place trophy's. I'll leave it up the competitors to post up their accomplishments. I just got some results via text and cell service around Upperlake is spotty at best.
BURP 155.7
Bass Race a 149.9
And also Bass Boxing

IMO you are way better off running a good single sub verses 2 smaller subs. Consider this you can run a single LVL 4 xl 18 in around 5 cubes and still be below the window line. The lvl 4xl is not more money than 2 level 3's.
-
Ok got the 9k clamped only at 4 ohm in my car though.
Crx
12 volt system
200 amp alt
1 batcap 4000
1 yellowtop 55amp hr
120 x 14 = 1680 rms
120 / 14 = 8.57 ohm rise
Rated is 2400 @ 4 ohm
so at 8 ohm rating would be 1200
Statting voltage 15 drop to 14.8
FEELER - Locals.....how quickly could i get, say 6 ....

Team Flex Issues would love to do this. However we would need a few weeks notice because we would have to clear our calendars and make it a weekend trip due to the mileage issue.
