the way i see it, Rusty said it'd be here in January, so im just hoping to see it sometime within the next 2 weeks lol. that way i dont get too impatient waiting for it. hope very very soon means in a day or 2, thatd be great is the new site FINALLY gonna have some pics of the 7.5k, 9k, and 12k? the images have been "coming soon" for a long time now lol
What kind of pic of a 9 do you want I'm sure I could satisfy you with at least that.

I won't be upgrading power, I'm thinking anything below 6 cubes net per sub is too small.
It's in the cargo area of my Tahoe so plenty of room to play with
I have one in 6.5 net with I think 18 square inches of port per cube and it sounds awesome, just starts to get smelly on constant low songs
You my friend are Ignorant a couple of people with the most experience and the most success with DC audio 18"s have chimed in and you not only chose to ignore them you insulted them by remarking what you think is better.

is it fri yet?
It's Friday now it's time to sweat the delivery guy!

For mounting pins I almost always use at least 1 t-nut on the bottom and then use a all thread pin with a wing nut so I can at least hold the sub in place while I do the dirty work on the rest. Double nut the pin back it out and then put in the full bolt.
-
Yeah they ain't cheap...but the same I told Rusty the older I get the more I am willing to pay because my back can't take lifting the 5s no more lol
Whats worse is having to mount that 75 pound woofer vertically in a wall over your head by yourself and try to screw it in. thats when you feel how old you are getting.
For the life of me I wonder why no one ever uses mounting pins?

Damn lol that's ok, and yeah Jeff is special lol
Being special still cost alot of $. I decided to wait and got dibs on the first 4 XLs off the boat.
Now this is funny. Yea there is a inside loop but logistics would dictate that those who are closer to reno would get their products first provided they were purchased approximately the same time. I'd be almost be willing to bet unless you paid for overnight shipping we would be getting ours just about the same time.

Never had that problem on my dc amp but I did on 2 sundown amps and it was with knu rca's both times!
-
AHA I got through on the phone yesterday and got some inside info but in the tradition of DC I'm not tellin anything! Just kidding rusty was working on the ts yesterday and the new site. The remaining materials should be in late this week early next week. For those who have paid a early eta for shipping should be the week of the 23. Basically we are near a 2 week count down. I was worried that the custom caps would take longer but apparently mine are sitting on the bench for the win! now if Rusty would take some of those famous spy pics I wouldn't mind.

I have a 6" aero don't have time to get a 4
sorry for lagging on the reply I didn't toss out a 6" design because you were so vague on your requirements to use a 6" aero it typicaly needs to be external and then the length of the entire enclosure becomes an issue in most cars except crx's.
Here is your cube with a 6" aero
14 x 14 x 10.98 with a 6" aero externally must be 30" long to obtain 45 hz tuning

If someone wants m1 Xls there is about to be a flood of them for sale. I might just hang on to 2 of mine just for the hell of it. Maybe they will be collectors items of the car audio world one day.
I have a son who will be getting my old xl's they did me just fine and I'm sure they will treat him the same!
Oh and I have FOUR headed my way.

I know this isnt the right thread, but can i get a price on 2 15s please

hertz 165 and zapco comps

Ray I know your highs amps are under the seat what prevents you from moving them since they are the smalller of the 2. Surely you can find another spot to hide the highs.
-
Question for you guys... see how the amp is sticking up above the box. I have a feeling it mite be restricting airflow over the box what do you think
if it acts like the pvc on mine it's a gain every time of .3.

Vrs threads are not allowed! It all boils down to install and the money your willing to part with. Furthermore, you asked in the DC forum so of course DC FTW. In my experience I am more than happy with the money I have invested and the results I have had from all of my DC products.OMG

Mario what other upgrades do you have planned?
couple more batts and a new front stage. for now
Your going to be the KING of CRAM it in. As always excellent choices in equipment and builder.
-
i cant comment.. I think rusty is just sitting back having fun reading all this, then us reps well get an email from HIM saying santa said it was ok now.. lol
I got the OK today to start selling the m2s. The official release of the specs wont be until after the first of the year when the new website is completed.
Anyone with questions can send me a PM and I will answer them to the best of my ability and can now give price quotes and take orders as well.
Whoot I got my confirmation yesterday too.....

RUSTY IS SUCH A TEASE....
Your not kidding! I've known for like 8 mths that these were coming but he has kept everything Tight Lipped! But here is the question for us who are presently building waiting for the subs to drop in. Do they like the same enclosure sizes? Specifically the m2 12".
-
Personally my preference in scores is at the head rest. When do you drive around with your head on the floor board or on the windshield? But as most of us know there are a few db differences when moving the mic around. What I've noticed is 2-3 db gain in the floor. MECA and DB drag scores VARY a lot I have a 4 db difference.

There are several crx builds around of which mine is one. Yea they are capable of serious spl numbers but if your going that route it will be burp only! What are your goals and what equipment do you already have. I'm willing to help but not if it is one of those teenage dream builds. What I will do is give you my opinion on what has worked best for me. I have went through about 8 different setups so far and have yet another pile of new equipment for this years install.
