  1. Lvl 4s wont really take 2k daily. An XL will. At about the 1500-2000 watts a piece is when i'd look to XLs. Im a firm believer in getting the top subs and upgrading power as you go. A FUCKTON cheaper then gett lvl 4s and 2 months later having to up to xls because your 4s cant take more power. Likewise from xls to lvl 5s and that goes for anything. I think you would notice an decent increase moving to the XLs once you have the power to feed them.

Buying the right equipment the first time ALWAYS saves money in the long run. Get the xl's.

  2. I appreciate the recognition everyone has offered in support of my friend and teammate. The official nomination has been sent to the Meca commissioner. Weather or not if he is recognized I believe he considers our comments in this thread to be one of the highest forms of respect. Thanks Ray, Ray, James, Chode, Bill and all of the others for your time.

Showing how we do it on the west coast!

  3. In effort to show some recognition and appreciation for my teammate Ray Maestas. I have a thread started under the competitors corner for official recognition as MECA member of the month. Ray is a monster in the lanes and is VERY supportive of DC audio, Rusty, Anna and Thor. If you have the inclineation some support for both Team DC and Ray please vote it this thread.

Ray Maestas for MECA member of the month

    Thanks in advance

  4. Team Flex Issues and the California Competitors would like to nominate one of our own for member of the month consideration.

Ray Maestas of California has competed at 10 different Meca events this season, with a total of 20 entries

amongst Street 5, Modified 5 and Park and Pound 5. His tenacity as a competitor and his drive to get every tenth

out of his system has led him to gradually increase his scores this year, while maintaing the exact same equipment

for the duration of the season. His humble attitude with other competitors usually leads to discussion of tips

others can use to increase their scores. Never one to hide his build or keep his ideas a secret, he typically

leaves his vehicle open for others to peruse his build. Some of the highlights for his season include leading

Street 5 in points nationally, leading Park and Pound 5 in points nationally and making some noise in the Modified

5 class. He is the current California record holder in both Street 5 and Park and Pound 5. His current S5 score is

tops in the nation, and his current PP5 score is in the top 5 in the nation. Ray has claimed all these achievements

in just his first full season in Meca. We would also like to note that we are not nominating simply based

on accolades; but rather, on his attituide and humility towards the sport as well as others within the Meca

community. A quality build, by an even better competitor and ambassador for our hobby and the organization

    of Meca.

  6. you can't run in the street class in MECA with the middle brace cut out... was in the center of the truck on back wall... David Berger and Mickey Johnson were DQ'd at finals in 2010 for that... it sucked... you will be in modified sir.

The middle brace is not cut out of the truck Pulse. Just the plastic around where the jumpseat used to be at in the truck.:peepwall: .

Truck is a mod in Usaci due to the box being over the side windows some. Meca just uses the rear glass for a street class.

Not positive but I believe this rule applies.

    14. Modifications to the vehicle’s cargo area are limited to Non-Permanent Modifications.

Cutting the plastics would be a permanent mod.

Kind of vague though because it says you can unbolt the plastics provided they can be reinstalled. Which leaves you to can they be reinstalled because the box is so big?
