Pretty good deal, it's at $275 now but still a good price

I'm more into a lowered 1G Durango than a lowered 1G Expi. I might body lift mine a couple inches.
-
Get some rims! Those expeditions look so much better with a nice drop and set of wheels lol
But good work on the tint.
I know dude! she needs them bad. Was going to have somebody slash my junk tires so I would have an excuse to do a set of wheels n tires on her.
-
I vote no because it takes more than VHT niteshades to make smoked headlights look good (imho)
They get that blueish tint to them and look weird, I have the corner lights on my Crown Vic done, but they are BLACK! like 5 coats of VHT, which of course is way too much for headlights.
-
IMO i would look into why it's only getting 8 miles to the gallon and start from there.
Because it's a huge truck with a little motor.

Ok now the truth can be told.....For the record- We've had 4 explorers and 2 expeditions.
You have the smallest, restricted V8- in the second largest SUV ford makes.
You Have added a shithouse of a system I assume.
You WILL....NOT.....EVER get decent gas milage....period.
If you DO upgrade the truck's performance you will most likely gas it a little more in an attempt to get the acceleration your brain and equilibrium feel you should be getting.
A tune alone...is a huge waste of money. Don't even think that...no...no no no...no no.
Any mechanic who knows this subject will tell you (if he's not after just your money) that a tune is the last thing done when mod'ing a vehicle. The tune is a culmination of all the mods done, it brings the computer system up to par with what the mechanical system can now achieve. Tuning now, means that to get the best results from future mods you would need to get a new tune at a later date, wasting yourself money.
If I were you...and gas milage was my biggest concern....I would...(in a decent order regarding price)
First- go buy one of these: http://www.scangauge.com/ and mount it on your gauges- so you can see how much your driving is effecting the gas milage.
Second- second go here http://www.modifiedexpedition.com/ and get and exhaust and intanke. Or get another comparable intake and a custom exhaust.
DONT FORGET- this is the best time to do headers if you plan on it, if you have the thought- go ahead and don't waste money.
like: http://www.lmperformance.com/19640/52.html or whatever you find-
Third- make sure your tires are the right style for your driving, ie- if you aren't driving in snow or mud a lot- not a need for 32" M/Ts
Fourth- highway usage- this is a difficult choice. If you don't spend time at speeds of 70mph a lot, lower gears could help your in town milage. As long as you don't romp it constantly. Meaning- same amount of fuel as normal, will accelerate you to a lower speed quicker, at the expense of gas milage at higher rpms.
Fifth- Get a tune. A real...in house...real person...tune. a Man Tune if you will.
Now, will you see a huge difference? maybe. But you will defiantly feel a difference, if you can keep from romp'in the sob, you should achieve what you're looking for.
thanks for the reply man, no system in it anymore but yeah.

There should be some 3/4 or 14/15mm bolts underneath the seat, try unbolting those and see if that works. Never unbolted Ford truck seats but Silverado seats are like that <

steeda ftmfw... I think I'm going to port the airbox on the vic right now just to see if it makes a difference. If not, I have a 99 parts car crown vic with a brand new intake system so I could go back to stock whenever I wanted.

I can't believe i didn't think of this before, but most the guys in my Mustang club are using underdrive pullies. There are kits for the Mustang 4.6, so check if there is a kit for either of your vehicles. This kit minimizes the amount of strain your accessories put on the motor, freeing up power.
yes! steeda pullies! going to have to order those up because everyone on crownvic.net recommends them right away.
-
Don't know your budget but do either A) Full exhaust and cold air intake AND tune or B)just the tune for now if thats all you can afford.
Well now I just bought an '03 Crown Vic P71 with the same motor so I think I'm going to mod that thing first and leave the Expi alone for a little bit. Planning on 4.10's and some tranny work on the cop car with exhaust.

Doesn't do shit.
agreed, they are gimmicks.
-
lmao hahah i have an "aoogah" horn on my crown vic!

Silvia platform of some kind. Looks like you nailed it with 200sx though.

I have the same problem, sorta.. I'm obsessed with cars. Only problem is, I get sick of mine every few months in search for something new. I never know what I want and I fall in love with what I get until I sell it.
Same way with systems. I can never decide what I want to do for subs. High amount, low amount, 15"s, 18", ugh.

the12volt.com can help you get a lot of information on car audio, look there for some research ideas.

custom tune.
Hands down best bang for the buck
That's what I was thinking. Because my only regret with buying this Expedition is the fact that it has the 4.6... If it had the 5.4 I wouldn't be complaining. Was hoping to do a few performance mods to bump up the HP but a used 5.4 is about $1200 around here so if it gets to the point where I would need to put that much money into it just in upgrades, I might as well just buy the motor. I can swap it myself.
Basically looking to be around 255-265 HP from my current 215-220. Shouldn't be too hard of a task in my opinion. Tune should really do the trick.

Tranny's are a common problem on this bodystyle Taurus. I've replaced a couple of them. Clogged cat could also make it act funny. You may think its the trans but a clogged cat can make the engine stutter weirdly and make it seem like the trans not wanting to go. Smell your exhaust, if it smells like sulfur(like a fart) then the cat is clogged up.
Check the tranny fluid again and tell me what the color looks like and what it smells like exactly. If it has a hint of burnt smell at all then your trans could be the culprit. It's tricky to tell what the smell is really like because most Fords use Mercon V which smells like dinosaur shit, and can sometimes smell burnt. But again, let me know.

I'm into songs that have some up and down weird but nice basslines - mainly why I enjoy a plethora of Tech N9ne - instead of songs that have a constant slamming note. Looking for some more. I listen to pretty much anything, let me know?
Here's an example of something:
-
I really really really need a medium sized Kicker or a Hifonics sticker for my Expi dog..
-
I have one for sale on ebay right now -I'll sell it to you for $450 shipped-let me know before auction ends in 5 days.
That sounds really tempting.. My birthday is on Wednesday and I'm expecting some cashola so I'll definitely hit you up then.

Looking to buy a Rockford Fosgate T20001bd amp to power my CVX's. Let me know what you have and what the price tag on them is.
-
Nice vid! I'm checking out your guys' subs right now..

I was gonna try it til I saw this, I won't make it look much better than that. Good job
