  1. Im 17 and have another year of HS left. My plans are for me and my gf of 1yr 11months (as of yesterday). To get a cheap apartment that is about a half hour between the colleges we want to go to. I plan to go to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and get an Electrical Engineering major with a minor in Computer Science if i can play football there, if no football then i will double major those. My gf wants to go to the Art Institute at Indianapolis and Get a degree in Culinary Art. Thats my plans.

  2. Thats a question for the interview.

But mostly likely you will prolly want a good quallity set of strippers and a decent dmm.

It just shows your not unprepared.

I bought a greenlee DMM when I did my install in Feb.

My old one just qouldnt work anymore.

The model I got does everything I need and it was about 30 bucks at a tool outlet.

ok i have one i just need to find to right probe wire things. I will add that to the list.

  3. the only bad thing about usps is that theres no tracking number just eather its there or its not

Thats not true. I always have a tracking number from usps. My ups driver is cool he puts our stuff in the garage so our dog doesnt get to it and our mailman foes the same. fedex ass hole can suck a dick i had shorts ordered that the dog got into and chewed on because he left it on the porch.

  4. What do the people that work there wear?

Its never good to goto a interview wearing shorts if the people working dont wear shorts.

    Personally I would wear pants.

    Also n8ball has good points.

But salary shouldnt be over looked. But dont make it priority.

Let the person bring it up.

The best thing you can do is show willingness to learn.

If they ask you something your not sure of admit it dont bs your way through.

The people there wear shorts and t-shirts, that is why i thought nice khaki shorts and a polo would be fine. Pay isnt a problem I would be more than happy at minimum wage (I am 17). There is a lot I do not know and I'm fine with telling them that. I can do audio it is just alarms I'm lacking on.

  5. be polite be respectful and don't come off as a know it all.

Dress nice but not necessarily suit and tie. It's better to be overdressed than underdressed.

DO you have a portfolio of your work? May not hurt to take it along as well as any designs or anything you can bring to the table for that shop

vehicle specific wiring is very tough to memorize for all the different cars out there. basic head unit wires are always the same color. that is easy to memorize.

    things not to ask.

    salary.

    discounts.

    breaks vacation etc.

    Things to ask

average customer installation what does the average guy off the street come in for? how many installs on an average day.

average work day. what goes on during the daily grind.

alot of interviewing is developing a vibe with your interviewer. From there the conversation can ebb and flow as you feel it.

What are the basic colors? I would assume blck is ground, red is power, and blue is remote? Then it should be speaker wires correct? I will print off all of my designs and take some pics of some of my friends cars that I have done and put them in a portfoloio. Ill be sure to ask about what goes on daily. I was thinking some nice khaki shorts and a polo.
