Right now would be the time to get the quantums there changeing there whole line and you can pick them up pretty cheap.. My local dealer has the SPL Quantum 15's for around 150ea and there rated for 1500rms and 3000max.. i was doing a 146 in the trunk with 2 12's and MTX 81001... Very good sub beat on them for about a year and sold them and the guys still beating on them a year later...
Not entirely sure what route im going to end up taking now but thanks for the info.

ok this may be stupid but im tryin to figure out the volume displacement of the two dowels so i use the formula pi r2h.... then i put in the .5 fer the radius and 17 fer the height and got 13.35176878 and that doesnt seem appropriate lol
Divide that by 1728. Then multiply by however many dowels you have and then you will have displacement.
i got the same thing but i think thats in cubic inches not cubic feet. i got "0.007" cuft after i converted it.

For the price those Quantum subs are actually pretty good and do get loud. Not the greatest SQ but they are damn good woofers at that price. Can't comment about the cadence because I've never ran those particular ones.
Got any idea on if they take the full 1000w rms can they handle more or less?

I'm looking at the Quantum QCSW15D2, it just looks sexy to me. The only Prob is I have $300 to spend and am trying to get the 2 15's and a sufficient amp for that much. Any insight?

Dude that could get sick sick sick. First thought in my mind was rip out the entire "limo" section and make it one huge ass box with it as a "blow-through" into the driver/chauffeurs area. that would be sick you could get like idk maybe 45-65 15's in there. and just seal off the entire back section with the trunk amps and batteries. That would be SICK!!

cadence will be what alot of people on here will tell you because they have been around for a while but i know someone that has 2-12" quantum subs on a memphis mojo 2000d doing a 145db @31hz.
Ok well that is all i needed to know i just wanted to make sure they werent complete trash or anything.

Do u have measurements of the trunk?? If you don't have a minimum of 20-25ft3 just off the raw measurements then you don't have a shot to properly do 4 15s.
Trunk is 45 wide x 43 deep x 15 tall that not including spare tire well which is huge comes up to 16.5 cu ft. I just want a lot more bass than what i have. I dont have much tho only the two type E's in my sig

I really hope the score in your sig isn't true(143.9) because with 4 15s walled + 4k, I'd be pretty damn disappointed if that's the case. Sorry for thread jacking but it just sorta shocked me when I saw that.
To the OP - What vehicle do u drive?? Do u have any idea how much airspace is needed for 4 15s?? There are very few trunk cars I can think of that can do 4 15s in trunk properly, just on the airspace alone. If you have the proper airspace and glass out the entire trunk to get every single bit of space, maybe it's do able. Why not just rip out the back seats and wall it off??
I drive an 88 buick. It could be done and i cant wall it bcus my parents wont let me. They got pissed when i took out the back seat so i had more bass.
don't be DEAD SET on 4-15's. you can get alot more out of a set of better quality 12s or 15s than with 4 crappy 15s! IMHO
