  1. Well...sent Dom an E mail but have not heard from him yet. Oh well.
  2. Howdy, I recently installed my second Iraggi 260 Amp alternator but am having trouble wiring the second one into the system. They way it is now they fight each other and keep switching on the regulator as soon as one sees the voltage and turn the charge light inside on and off. How do I have to do this. I have a 2004 Ford E-350 Super duty V8 6 liter power stroke diesel. Many thanks. JR
  3. Ok I'll try the digital high pressure sound meter form make it louder.
  4. Holy crap. Still don't know what to get. I am so new to all this. I figured I'd find a meter that you just place in the car and read the display. The Audiocontrol (not the epic 160) looks sophisticated . Termlab? hmmmm $$$$$$ Make it louder.com Simply measure voltage? Any other suggestions?? Thanks, JR
  5. Howdy, Is there an affordable DB meter around somewhere? I looked but most ones I see only go to 130dB. Thanks, JR
  6. Well, I have the Pinoeer AVH P3100DVD without any problem now. In my case it was the cheap amp that I was using. I swapped that cheapo amp out with another Hifonics amp and all my noise was gone. I also used shielded RCA cables instead of normal ones. I would look further before tossing that Pioneer. Hope you get it solved. JR
  7. Please help me. I'm stupid. Answer my questions with an answer and not another question.

  8. After all that I have done and tried, I am convinced that it is the cheap O amp that i bought that is causing this. I am waiting on a new plug for my Pioneer AVH-P3100dvd so I can use the rca jacks instead of the speaker wires. The Pioneer that I currently have only has one RCA output and that is for the subs.
  9. Holy crap.... I am having the same problem.....rechecked everything as well. Only thing is that I am using the speaker wires from the head unit to input the amp. If I look at your picture, I can ground all the speaker grounds then as well right.
  10. Received my two Iraggi 260 amp alternators today. They are a thing of Beauty. I'll install them on Monday and hopefully all my problems will be solved. Thanks Dom... JR
  11. Do onto other as you wish done onto you...bitch.

  12. Ok Thanks. I just lost all confidence in my system just now. Ran into this Audio Calc thing they made in excel and if I enter what I have it says that my system is lagging amperage to run. Since i'm green as hell i am easily swayed. Let me re-state what I have and see. I have two Hifonics Brutus 2610D amplifiers. Each is running one FI 15 BTL fully loaded. The FI's are wired at 1 ohm. I have a 350 amp alternator and hooked up in parallel to the two original car batteries( 2x850 amp) are two Kinetik 3800's This calc thing says I need at least 509 amps to drive this system...... Shit on a single....Is my system good with what I have or not?? Never mind...got this sorted out and am doing the following. I am swapping out the two original batteries and replacing them with two Batcap 4000 I have and am going to run two Iraggi 260 Amp alternators. Man this got expensive in a hurry..my X-mass just flew out the door...
  13. I have heard people talking about that as well. They mentioned that wet cells rest (when car is off) at a lower voltage then the dry cells. Thus one set draining the other. I plan to take the two batcap 4000 and swap out the two original Ford batteries. that is if they fit. Not sure either but I guess it wouldn't hurt. I am learning that they really are not..I have two new ones on the way (350Amps). as soon as one of them fries again ,I'm installing a different barnd..... which would be a high end brand that you would suggest?
  14. Lmao...awesome is right. It has been renovated and modernized like you would not believe. Coblestone walkways, beautiful rooms with AC, dvd player, etc, etc. Like I said lots of technology. Were you stationed here on the US military base?
  15. Of course..LMAO when were you here? This place it ultra modern now with lots of technology in each room... Live shows and on Wednesday night it's ladies night with outsiders welcome....even on stage.
  16. Ouch ...don't say that. I have two brand spanking new 350 amp alts on the way. I'm in Curacao.... Right in between Aruba and Bonaire. About 50Miles off the North Coast of South America,
  17. Thanks Andrew, This was my first EA alternator. Lets see what happens to the next two which are 350Amps. Ok I have two Batcap 4000 for sale....lol.
  18. Hello, Greeting from the Caribbean. My son raves about this forum so I thought to post my question here. I think I have a pretty good idea but want to hear from you guys. I have a 2004 Ford E-350 Van with two stock 850Amp Batteries. To this I added two Kinetik 3800's and an Excessive amperage 250 Amp Alternator to supply the following: All zero gauge wires installed. I have two FI 15 BTL's fully loaded (daily) They are wired at 1 Ohm. Each is driven by a Hifonics 2610D amplifier.( rated at +/-2600 RMS at 1 ohm. I was still breaking the FI's in when the Alternator just quit after about 10 days or so. Afterward I found out the small pulley had been replaced with the larger stock one otherwise the Belt was too big. The last I played the system was in a parkinglot Idling and with the AC going. I have ordered two Batcap 4000's and Two new Excessive amperage 350 Amp Alternator along with the needed bracket to run both if needed. I assume that the alt went out because of the combination stock pulley and idling. My question is if I install just 1 350 Amp Alternator with the smaller pulley, will it be enough with the stock batteries and two Kinetik 3800's or would you say go ahead and add the second pair of batteries as well? If my plans are still wrong please let me know what I would need to do. Thanks.
