  1. I am going to do an install in a friends 2002 Yukon XL without bose system or stock subwoofer. I was wondering if there will be RCA outputs in the back of the head unit or if there is any other way to use to the stock headunit on aftermarket amp/sub? Or will I need to buy a new HU?

    Thanks!

there is a thing called a line output converter. basicly converts the speaker ouputs to rca. really simple.. all you gotta do is run a remote wire for the amp and a set of speaker signals like the rear speakers to that converter. wire it up and bam, pretty simple. if you need more info let us know and we will help

  2. Honestly if you want something good for a first gun that isn't a .22lr rifle and will actually be decent for home defense, and teach you how to handle a gun look at a used Glock 19 or 23, or head down to a range that rents guns and test out some guns in 9mm and .40 and see what feels best. I know the .22lr might look like a cool military rifle, but it isn't.

If you want to go new and in that budget I'd say try out the Smith & Wesson Sigma 9 or 40, I personally don't own one but have fired about 100 rounds through a friends, and he's put over 1000 through it and it works great.

Think of the ethics behind owning a gun too, I'm young and own guns but have also grown up in a home with guns, and understand the severity of situations when a gun is needed, when fists are needed, and when it's best to just walk away.

yea i know what you mean on when to use a weapon, when to put up the fist and when to walk away.

as me not being 21 till april i dont think i will be able to own a handgun just yet. i would like a small rifle for the range use tho, it woldnt do much for home defence cause there has not been issues. when there was the cop were notified so no one got hurt. ill edit my first post a bit

  3. my dad actually just bought 2 guns today lol. well my bro got one and he got one

whats wrong you couldnt handle the bro down? lol

you dont wanna go hand to hand with a tweeker :roflmao:

Ok so in april i turn 21 and my gf threw the idea of her paying for a gun of my choice * and she hates the thought of me owning one* she said it would be a good idea for me to get one for fun to use at the range and home defence

I was a big 5 being that it is right down the street from my house and from what i have heard the guns are pretty cheaply priced.

The gun that caught my eye was a mossberg m4 that is .22 cal. For 260 i dont think its too much foe it and the ammo is cheap too.

What im asking is, if anyone has used any of the m4s from mossberg before and what should i look for. Im not looking for crazy, i just want a begginer gun for now so any suggestions will be helpfull. No more than 400ish tho if possible

  6. Yea i have passive sets, what i was thinking of possible was to run the tweets one channel. As in front and rear right tweet on one channel and front and rear left tweet on the kther channel and cross them on the amp with not passive crossover. And the same theory on the midbass for the other two channels. Sorry if im being confusing

  7. Average phone use per cycle? Meaning how many minutes, text , and data do you use?

Thought this would be a interesting post to see some shared usage numbers. To find out *att users* dial *3282# you should recove a text shortly after dialing the service number

For me its at 3875.4 gigs and my cycle has two more days left. Most i used was 7 gigs

Text was 419 so far this month cause of iphone imesage. Or else it would be more for iphone users

Minutes...? No idea, probably like 1500 in rollover haha

    You guys?

  8. Ok ill try to make this sound as simple a possible

I have a rf power 1000 5 channel "newer casing" i have a component set on each of the 4 high channels. I want to get mor power to my speakers by wiring down from 4 to 2. Doing so i was thinking of running tweets on the front channels and midbass on rear channel. All speakers are 4 ohms without crossovers. So it would be 4+4 on the left and same for right, ending in a 2 ohm load per channel.

Question one is can i do it safely without a external crossover since my amp has the x10 button for crossover, or would i need some sort of x over

Question two is would i lose any sound quality since the hu i want has 3 output sets.

Want to get the pioneer AVIC-X930BT if that helps.

  9. I got one about two years back. It was a fix it ticket too

What i did was contacted my local state referee office to make a appointment to test it on the mic. As long as you are under 95 db you are good. They pd considered mine still "modified" cause its a can instead of stock muffler. I used the excuse that mine was rusted out and had holes * wich it did* i doubt your will look modified, cause your car only shows the very tips of the pipes on the bumper

Worth a try with the ref, it was free for me but idk the charge for them. You will get a sticker that goes on your ticket and another printed paper as proof of your db readings. I keep mine in my glove box
