No, all I've ever used is B-Quiet and Dynamat.
I see. I'm thinking about just ordering 20 sq feet. It has to be a little improvement otherwise people wouldn't use it. I just can't decide on how much to get to start off.
-
This is what I use.
Have you used any from Second Skin before?
-
Alright, I'll probably start by getting 20 sq feet and doing the upper valence between the rear windshield and the trunk. It just sits there and flex's and moves the rear brake light and everything. I'm hoping that will help it.
Damplifier regular or should I invest extra in the Damplifier pro?

Thanks, finally someone takes the time to give their opinion instead of assume I'm a complete idiot and don't know how to find a site.
-
Already been there. Looked at it and everything. Now I was looking for opinions. Not a damn link to the site that I've been on for the past 20 minutes.
So much for opinions and help, I was looking forward to some.

I have 1 12" Alpine Type R in a sealed box and I'm putting about 550 Watts RMS to it in a small older BMW 325.
Would 20 sq feet of Damplifier be a good investment? Would I be able to notice an audible difference if I did my trunk and the lower part of my back seat? Not alot vibrates right now but I'm thinking about getting some and I wanted your guys opinion as there are some people that have used a fair amount of it here.
No opinions? Come on guys please.

then YES you might need a wiring harness, i bought mine from XenonEyes.com a year and a half ago for $130 i though i got a deal but im sure you can get them for less than $100 now....heres a place you can get them from, cheap but take alittle longer on shipping, but from i hear well worth the wait
I looked there originally actually. I was thinking about just grabbing one of those $50 kits but I ran into a problem with getting the positive and the negative back to the battery so I can hook it up correctly otherwise I would have already ordered. We just open up the trunk and connect jumper cables straight to it to jump it but it sure works out having the battery in the trunk for a trunk system because I don't have to go run a huge cable on the side of the car.
-
on most newer cars the plug and play will work with no harness. Isnt there a spot to connect jumper cables to under the hood? im sure if anything you can connect it to that. Just a thought
Well this car is nothing new. 1986 Links?
-
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn lol all bad... well get some hid's that dont have to be hooked up to the battery. mine just plug and play with the stock wiring
Would you happen to have a link to your kit?
-
My battery is in my trunk. I have a BMW and I want to put HID's in it but I heard something that you can't extend any of the cables or anything from it's stock length otherwise it won't work correctly. My battery is in my trunk and there is no way that those stock wires will reach. Any help here?

Has anyone here owned a 1995 Nissan 240sx before or has one currently? If so are they good cars? Are they expensive to fix? How long do they last? Give me some info here. I'm going to look at one. Thanks guys

yea check out my youtube page and u can see my box for the type r
Ironic that right as you posted this. I was looking at your YouTube page. It was in another thread I was reading. Looks good man.

Your first system is better than half of the people around my towns main system Lol
Awesome, that makes me feel even better. On top of that it's a shitty pre-fab sealed MTX box hahaha probably worth like $10. I still have much to improve on but it's a start I guess.
-
lots of room to improve but not bad
Yes I know this is my first system I've ever put in completely by myself and it totaled up to about $300 so I'm quite proud of myself. I have alot of stuff to learn and improve on especially my choice of subs/amps/style of box etc.
But I love it for the amount of time and money I spent.

Well I finished installing my Alpine Type R and Kenwood Amp today. I was listening and I got out and my shirt moved a little. I thought it was the wind but apparently not. So I grabbed a shirt and checked it out. It's hard to see but it's there. I was quite surprised.
System:
1 12" Alpine Type R Sealed box (1.3) Cubes I know it's too big, it's all I had at the time.
Kenwood Mono Block Amp. (500 Watts RMS)
4 & 6 Gauge cabling
All stock electrical and no deadening.
It's decent for about $300
Tell me what you think, here is the video.

806 And Type R's FTW
