Ok so i went and took some more measurements and i was able to to get quite a bit more room.
Still playing with the tuning and figuring out how i want this box to fire, If you have any suggestions on that let me know.
-
Im going to get some more measurements tomorrow and see if Ram or Ray can help me out.
Dont really wanna do a blow through just yett
-
Unless you can tune real low ported, the sealed box will kill the lows. It just won't peak.
I love the sound of sealed with the cross over set right.
You should try sealed with a ton of power. You won't be disappointed.
I had about 1200 going to it (rated 800) in my ported box in the jeep. Did pretty well for its self

Heres what will solve your issue...ready?
Sure you're ready?
Blowthrough. Be a man.
I would rather save the blowthrough for something worth while, Im gonna go look at some blowthrough builds
Seal it.
Oh yea i can run sealed no problem, But i love my lows thats why i was trying my damnedest to go ported

My lvl 5 is in 2.5 cf to give you an example. I'd do 2 ft, but didn't think it'd fit. Get as close to 2 ft as you can or switch to a 10" if you haven't bought the sub yet.
Yea i already have the sub, Its from my jeep build but this box WILL NOT fit lol. Its about 2.1 internal and sounded badass
Im going to take some more mesurements, I might be able to squeeze another 5" of width out and maybe a little bit taller...
Hopefully i can get something done up.
-
Yeah, too small, especially since you forgot to input the displacement of the sub which is probably around .15 feet. Shoot more towards 1.5 unless you don't have the room...just depends on your power.
Yea displacement is .14 which changed up the tuning to 40hz
Im feeding the sub about 1200 watts +/- some
-
No way I'd run the 12" SSD in that small of a box. The 10" version will work well in that though, if you can drop the tuning some. You also need to account for the sub displacement, as that will also affect volume/tuning.
yea thats what i was afraid of, I MIGHT be able to slide the seat forward just a bit and if i can get my jack holder out i got about roughly 5" more room in width
EDIT: Also idk if it matters but its the older double stack ssd, Not the newer single

Ok here is my box info
Sketchup of the idea (bear with my first time using sketchup)

Some tips Deside on what port setup you want
From top to bottom the port configurations are
0 common port walls
1 common port walls
2 common port walls
3 common port walls
Decide which one you want
Im pretty sure your shooting for 3 common port walls (popular type of box) for this your box your port must extend the full face of the box so height of box - wood thickness so 18- 1.50 = 16.5 would be your port height, Then you can mess with your dimensions from there.
Also you wanna make sure your "port area" is within the "port area range"

I love panel vans!
Tuned in
-
Re do the headliner
Paint the panels with some plastics paint or even a paint gun
If you have the money replace the carpet, For most of the vehicles its in the 150 range
If you dont have the money, dies or Dupi-color vinyl and fabric paint should do the trick.
-
700 but hes replacing the gaskets and seals on the tcase too. It only cost 1000 dollars for a new tranny but I could save 300 bucks.
Thats not to bad, My buddys grandpa is going to have to shell out 1800 for a trans rebuild in his saturn, Im guessing sense its FWD its more work there for more money.
-
How much you shell out to get it rebuilt?

Okay guys, With all the problems i have been having lately i decided that i should invest into a OBDII Scanner, I know i can get codes pulled at autozone but they are some dumb fucks.
Anyways do you all have any suggestions on a OBDII Scanner that shows live data? I want something that can help me troubleshoot a issue so im not guessing and throwing money at a issue.
I have seen some at autozone but idk.
Preferable in the >150 range

compared to fat mat, cheap ass home depot roofing dampener, etc it is more expensive for SS.
Thats not even dampener thats roofing material.
-
A door pack of dynomat is 75 at my local shop.
I could get way more for my money at second skin... Put some damp in my buddys nova and its worth it.

evrything is a violation when it comes ti money....and adultery
If you arent gunna help why dont you just stop posting -.-
I dont think since they are all mixtapes that he gets that there should be a problem cause there are places like datpiff where we can get the mixtapes legally
Just because you acquired the music legally does not mean you legally can use it in a video. ESPECIALLY if your profiting off of it.
For instance i go and buy a CD and download music off datpiff, I use 1 song from the cd in 1 video a song from datpiff in another, there both going to come down because your are using a copyrighted song in a video.
The problem you are going to face is even tho decaf slowed/ chopped the song. He is still using another artist lyrics/beat/music to produce that song, as such the music is still copyrighted under that artist. Im not sure but i for see a issue.
-
fuck youtube....
That really helped answer his question...
All decafs music is released as a free mixtape but i believe youtube even counts altered music as a copyright violation.
