  3. Stock refinishing

    Ok guys, I just aquired a older .22 Long rifle and i thought i would clean it up a bit. Its nothing special but it could make a decent little project.

    So here it is a sears roebuck 6c also known as a Winchester cooey 64b ( from some research)

    The guy i picked it up from said it fired but needs a magazine.

    What i wanna do first is clean it up, the stock needs to be refinished, all the metal parts could use a cleaning. Here is the thing, Never done something like this so i would like some ideas, The stock i was thinking clean it up, sand it down, re-stain and seal.

    The metal parts however i have no idea what would clean them up pretty good.

    The only gun i have ever broke down was my neighbors old sks. Shot dozens of guns buy never had something i could work at.

    If anyone has some pointers, Ideas on what i can do i would appreciate it.

    I didn't know there were plug and play HIDs haha. I thought it involved taking you headlight assembly apart and cutting/grinding the housing to custom fit an HID and then adjusting it appropriately and securing it. In other words, something I didn't want to get into lol.

    What your refuring to is what meade did on the tahoe, Also known as a retro fit with HID projectors which is the "proper" way to do HID's

    So I know I could just google, but how far away from Huntington WV are you? I'm almost right across the river from Huntington, so we should try to set something up sometime soon!

    Hell yeah, we should definitely try to set up a time and place to meet up! Maybe we can talk someone w/ a bad-ass system, aka trulywicked, or techforce, into coming too! Also a term lab would be SWEET! I am going to get one but it will probably be next year, I gotta get loud first! But I do have a DD-1 on the way, no tl but at least clean signal?!?! :drink40:

    Speaking from experience Rick normally does not come up this way unless there is a show or something of the sorts. Gas is just stupid expensive for him.

    Yeah I've read a few things on them but im not that computer savy so most of it I dont really understand.But when my bro first told me he had paid 2 grand for it I thought he had overpaid, but once I saw the retail price I was happy for him being that he had gotten it for half off. but we really dont have need fot it, he has his laptop and an Ipad I have my laptop and my iphone.

    I'm just debating whether its worth the effort of putting it on Craigslist.

    You can try if it is on there more then a week or so i would look to sell it elsewhere you never know.

    Similar Models have sold locally pretty quick and for around that price range, You never know someone may have had one and needs a new one.
