Man that sucks ass.
Got my full unrestricted license yesturday and i was like "I want my system back in my car"
I bought it before the economy hit us hard (wtihout a box) and never really used it.
I did once or twice in a buddys box for a car show but that was 8 months ago.
Yea it sucks, all i have to do now is call the DMV and schedule a date to take the test. Then get my license. I already have my truck and its still street legal so i drive it every now and again with the parents. So until i get my license i just work on it.
-
Ya jey im just trying to make it as easy as possible if you can tell lol.
Lol yea
-
Thank you so much,
Thats all i needed, hope you have a wonderful night.
Happy thumping!
(im really new, just starting driving unrestrictedly-17- and im a computer geek and was about time to get my thunping back agian....)
Hey man no problem thats what this site is for
Yea man i will
Enjoy it i have to get my license back. Lost it due to not paying a ticket on time. They are making me redo the whole permit and drivers test sense it happened before i turned 18

Sorry dude, just trying to make sure i had the right thing in my head.
and i drill through the stripping two when i lay the sub down i screw through it two correct?
Yea that way when you attach the screws you dont have the striping winding around the screw.
-
sounds like a good plan,
My sub doesnt have that little foamy stuff onder it, it has it on top though....
should i mount it backwards?
Also when i lay down the foam,
whats predrilling?
or srewing?
Okay just put some weather striping on the bottom, and are you serious? Predrilling and screwing? You dont know what the hell that means? That just means drill a hole slightly smaller then the screw you will you and screwing is self explanatory.
-
This is true for most subs, but some do not it depends on what you bought.
That weather stripping will work though just lay it down and make sure its even the whole way around.
Then make sure its pre-drilled, and slap it in. No sweat
Yea i know with MOST do. But i have seen some that dont.
-
What type of subs are they?
-
well you know the part of the woofer that is metal that protects the underside?
Well it goes right up to the ring around the face of the sub so the understide is bare metal, now the front has stuff that looks like weather stripping though.
Does this mean the subs are made to me mounted backwards like ive seen?
the magnet is very nice looking......
You talking about the basket? Okay the only part that you need to worry about is the lip (where you put the screws) under that lip should be some soft (almost foam like) strip all the way around. If there is and its in good shape, the you are okay. as long are your sub hole in your sub box is not too small or big
-
Well man on the back of most subs there is a strip that looks like weather striping already there. I always just predrill my holes and just screw it down. Its always been flush as hell with no air leaks.

Thats pretty sweet.

Now this guy knows his stuff! Cookie for you
OP in fact it will be louder with the 35hz one, but will not play as low as the 32hz one. I'm sure you would not notice a difference.
Exactly
-
Agreed dont go with a adjustable port. I would go with 35hz like stated above. Should still be pretty nasty.
-
The 4 12" definitely will pound like a motha. But i would check the spec sheets and make sure your going to have enough room. As for the 18 i think the require something like 8 cubes. I am not sure. But the 4 12" have potential. Besides i tend to stray away from kicker.
-
a its 4 38 here so imma sleep now send me the vid of what u have done
Alright mane its 538 here but no sleep in my future.
-
-
idk what guage i got
Well 12-18 is common for speaker wire
-
Get some 8g fool
step up ur game lol
Dude come to think of it i have about 16 ft of old tsunami 8 ga power wire that was givin to me that i aint going to use. I can just use that.
-
i use the rod with the red dot
i think it like 5 /16 or 5/8 something like that idk off hand
Yea well i have 16 gauge speaker wire.
-
i have that way on my box right now and when i make my new box i will have the same thing
it makes it easy 2 change up ur ohms load (if u need 2) with the bolts there and stuff
Yea well for the nuts bolts and washers it will b under 5 bucks. For 4 of everything. My buddys has a kit with a ton of terminals in it. I could just get some from him and take them with me to make sure i get a bolt thats the right size.
-
lol yea i kno
lol i dont think it would hole up.
-
be like the big boys
make ur own
use a rod with blots, washers on it bro
I have thought about doing that. Just take a trip to lowes. Pick me up some ring terminals, bolts and washers and nuts.
-
yea except tape lol
yeah i dont think that would work. Then again they say duck tape will fix anything lmfao!
-
imma drill it the same cir. as the wire or whatever just a lil bit bigger then seal it whith something
There you go man. Just bout anything will work to seal it up.
How do you add to the Garage?
