    Yeah I already ran the 6k before, only dropped to 13.6 full tilt. And I only metered my 2 10" subs with 1 3k, box was tune to 34hz, 6" aero. Doing 144s daily . . So want to keep everything on a larger extend..

    Ofcourse I want lows, and loud . So sticking to that, doubt I'll ever tune any of my boxes pass 37.

    I have a box right now, kerf 2.5 cubes per, tune to 30 hz. Imma try that first to break them in,

    We'll see what happens ....

    Anyone else ?

    different subs require different space specs, can't really just throw any size box out there without knowing the sub, that would help a lot. DC XL require a different box than FI BL, just depends

    i know, those specs are exact specs of the sub then.

    name of sub. franken hybrid monster moves up and down sub.

    rated at 2k rms each. specs are..

    QT.S: .544

    VA.S: .779FT^3

    F.S: 35.66HZ

    Le: 3.29 mH

    QM.S: 3.112

    QE.S: .659

    S.P.L: 83.85

    B.L: 20.9

    getting 2 12s, i dont know which ones yet but all options are rated at 2k rms each. and all are kinda the same specs at..

    QT.S= .544

    VA.S= .779FT^3

    F.S= 35.66HZ

    Le= 3.29 mH

    X.MAX= 26mm

    QM.S= 3.112

    QE.S= .659

    do know i want aero port again, 8"-12" ? ... tune to 34hz, leaning towards facing foward again cuss i hate trunk rattle. but dont mind doing different port sub placement.

    03 impala, 2 12s, 2 sundown 3ks. .

    any suggestions are appreciated, do want people who have work with trunks ?

    You can mix batt brands, but make sure the categories of the batts are the same, all AGM batteries.

    Then run 0g from alt to front batt, front batt parallel to back batts. grounds... etc..

    best bet, is go to ur local craiglist, and search for agm batts, i see alot of Deka's, optimas, c&ds, oddysees. etcc.. and run that as ur front and then get that xs as ur backs...

    Sooooo upgraded my pioneer 2 days ago to a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD. big upgrade from my avh 4000.

    Bought it used, when i was driving back to L.A had it on the back seat so i stopped quick and it fall off the seat and it got a little puncture on the - volume. so when i installed the volume kept going down by itself, other than that it was working fine, I put a blade in the - volume and put it out a little and it fixed that problem...

    Buttttttt last night i wasn't home and left my car outside on the street so dad put it in... but then when i got the car the stereo didnt work.. he said he didnt touch i, but i think the volume was up and he tried to turn it down so he was touching it everywhere or something...

    the stereo turns on and plays but it wont let me touch anything like if someones already touching it or something.

    Anyone help me out ??

    ^ You are correct on all counts. The SA is the loudest out of the three mentioned in this thread (about 1.6 dB louder than an Obsidian and a tad more than that louder than a Skar) and it ought to be seeing as it is the most expensive at $195. Next in line is the Skar $179 and the most affordable is the Obsidian at $138 in a 12" size. I'm bias so I believe that the Obsidian is a superb contender in all enclosure formats in SQ and SPL. But if I was competing or I was going to throw 2000+ watts at a driver rated for 600 watts all day long I would go with the Sundown SA woofer as it has the most advanced VC cooling of any driver using a smaller coil than a 3". If I had between 600 and 1000 watts to throw at a single driver and wanted to compete here and there I would go with the Obsidian.

    Your bias because arent you the owner of the Obsidian CRX, and also got banned at caco ?

    I love DD, loudest subs i´ve used and also, they take TONS of abuse, been pounding my 3518´s since 2008 lol, my 2512´s got a lot of abuse from a SD 8K for almost a year without ANY problems, 2 2512´s doing a 149.3 @ 42 hz inside my explorer with only 2000 watts on music all day long, i could keep going all night long lol, i love DD :)

    Exactly ! love them, but sadly my stock 10s tinsel leads snapped with 3k to each, sad cause the coils where flawless perfect still ! i regret selling them :'(

    going with DD for subs ? nice ! diff was my loudest set up.. what size/model ?

    i know what company imma get next !! cant wait !!!
