  1. Ok...

I want to share my opinion about DC with you guys.

Recently I had a customer with a DC subwoofer that needed a recone done. Ok, well having done many other recones I told him I'd take a look at it, and take care of him if I could. Well... the subwoofer in question was a DC Level 5 woofer...18"

This woofer was a monster as I tried to move it...lol the build quality of the subwoofer was actually pretty nice. The only issue I had were the leads....

Now... then I had a customer interested in the subs. Well, I called to speak with Rusty at DC Audio. He was unavailable to speak to me at the moment as he was helping someone else, no problem... I'll call back later. The customer is a friend so I told him when I got some info I'd let him know later that day.

About 15 minutes later, my phone rang. It was Rusty on the other end. He answered all my questions politely, as I had a few. Then I went on my way... but I thought it was pretty good customer service on his part to do that.

Kudos to Rusty for taking care of business sir.

(PS. I am a Digital Designs fanatic myself, but I do need to give credit where it is due.)

  3. It seems like only yesterday I started on this journey with this little baby.

Every once in a while it throws a temper tantrum... like today, this poor innocent girl came in to visit with little "DDBEAST" to show it some love. Well wouldn't you know it... the "DDBEAST" got angry and started yelling... :)

Special thanks to Richard and Teresa Boswell for allowing me to babysit this little tyke. To take it on its journey in search of that infamous 160dB with one woofer in a street vehicle (no wall). It's been alot of fun. :)

Thanks to Digital Designs, Powerbass Xtreme, Batcap, Excessive Amperage, Alma Gates (great friend and my hero), My girlfriend (for putting up with the long hours) and to you... the people on these forums and competitions who keep car audio alive. Thank you for allowing me to play. :)

thanks to Nick and the gang from TDH for coming and playing with us at shows (they ain't scared)

and to Steve for letting me be on this forum! :)

  4. hey peeps!!! the vid will have the names of some of the contestant runs... i listed on the vid under comments who they are and what they were running.

    check it out...

Jessica Webb (silver Hyundai Elantra) posted the current world record score in MECA's dB1 and she's in MECA's Amatuer Street 1 class!!! this is with an 40 amp fuse in front of a Powerbass asa1500.1dx, Batcap 2000, stock alternator and a single DD3512d2 in a Pulse Car Audio "monster" box.

Gary Webb (black Blazer with DD on side windows) posted the current world record score in MECA's dB3 class. this is done with a 150 amp fuse in front of a Powerbass xta4kd, Batcap 4000, stock alternator, and two DD3515d4 in a Pulse Car Audio "monster" box.

    Both are Team Pulse members.

    ENJOY...

  5. i have a competition EVERY MONTH. it's not a MECA, DBdrag, IASCA event. its a PCA (pulse car audio) event. with points even. there are a few DC competitors at every show I do. I think they should get the points for those events. they are still there reppin DC.

Nick Garcia (chode), Scott Snyder, Jen Snyder usually make the drive. Infact DC can thank CHODE for getting the name known in this area. I have had a few customers come into the store and ask about DC from seeing his truck at my shows. Good job Nick!

I dont even sell DC, nor support it (we use DD) but I do think it's fair.

and for the guys who say there are no shows in their area... you need to go to your LOCAL audio dealer and ask them to put one on. there is no reason they cannot. my shows are a success with very decent turnouts (for local shows) averaging 25-30 people per event. i start at 1pm and we are usually done by 4. registration 11am to 1pm (time for looking and peepin other's rides)

We do have MECA shows during the year. Infact there is one tomorrow here at Hoops! Sports Bar (yea i hold my shows at a bar!! pool tables, a/c, heat, bathrooms, food, and drinks) And I have two more scheduled during the year.

  6. I really hope you can make this one!! This is another competition in the PCA Series and will be a DOUBLE POINT EVENT!!

At march's DISTURB THE PEACE show we had a new record set in Box Battle by Matt Elliott at a 171.5dB with only one 10" sub, and he has a high score of a 150.9dB sealed up on the windshield!!

and Gary Webb brought home the trophy for best in class, low n' loud, and street slam. Gary was voted "Competitor's Choice" GREAT JOB GARY!

HOPE YOU GUYS/GALS CAN MAKE THE NEXT SHOW!!! APRIL 18th at HOOPS sports bar in Salisbury, MD!

    remember... double points!
