Sorry it was 2 subs i have never seen before from jl in a prefab box, i meant prefab sub as in you can only get the subs in the prefab box, if that makes any sense. And about the birth sheet, i was expecting it to say rms thats why i double checked it said max. And it was 386 again something i double checked because i thought it was odd.

Yeah i was gonna post the last part in there but i have a real nice headache and just wanted to rant.

Nah he got a relatively decent amp. It was like 2 jl prefab subs in a prefab box and a Kicker 400.1 (with a birth sheet saying 386 watts max)

Ok so today my friend james came up to me in class and told me he got a pair of subs and a new amp, "woo hoo" i told him, he asked me to install it for him i said sure why not. Mistake. He shows up to my house like 10 minutes before i did with 2 of his friends who are ridiculously annoying. Needless to say i was not happy. He shows up and its raining so we use my buddies over hang/garage and i bring a few tools and we are off. The stupid friends think its the funniest thing to honk the horn when i am under the hood trying to send the power wire through the fire wall. They also insist on bitching and complaining about how hungry they are. After i get nice burns on my arm and nice scratches all on the back of my hand we get stuff routed very unprofessionally because it was a rushed job and lack of supplies, the kid didn't even bring speaker wire, and above all that he didn't even pay me. Well if you actually read that thanks if you didn't thats cool i can summarize it; Your gonna rush me through a 2 hour job and not pay me? FUCK THAT!

2-3 weeks you need to clean your computer? maybe clean up shop instead?

that sounds really cool man and a word of advice idk if you have thought of this or not but if it is possible to get to a vocational school that has a machinery class and a drafting and design class, and get the copper buss bars made for you as long as there is a general idea of what you want measurement wise they cant really mess it up. and all you will pay for is the copper slabs but it may take a while

sand paper? sounds like if you peeled the chrome off already your gonna have to sand it down anyway just get the rest of the chrome off with some rougher grit

ya know... id love to but i cant im the kind of person who, if i buy something i cant just not use it and let it collect dust i have to use it or sell it.

actually youd be suprised man the hu doesnt provide any power at all to the speakers the tens drown out the sound bad and i like the subs on chan 3 and 4 because the knob only controls those channels

what if i put it to my other amp ? i have a 5 chan amp that im using for my rear deck speakers i dont use it for the sub because it gets a very little amount of power it was a very cheap amp

haha yeah about the amp... its a pyle 2000 watt 4 channel 2 ohm stereo stable so i have chan 1 and 2 running (2) 4 ohm coax speakers parallel each channel and chan 3 has the 2 tens 4 ohm each parallel chan 3 and the 12 (4 ohm) on chan 4 it is still working never blown anything so plz dont hate cuz im not stupid, just im not equipped

thanks man and im not expecting a whole lot to be honest it is most likely the cheapest "build" ,if i can even call it that, in this forum and i will prolly do that now i needa break out the measuring tape =[[ work to do now.

so i have gotten birthday money and am trying to decide wether to get a new amplifier or get a sheet of mdf and make a new box. and ideas? i have a one 12" sub (sony xplode =[ ) and 2 10" (Q power) getting roughly 200-300 watts rms and hit alright but i want to get lows better because they are in sealed prefab boxes. any help is greatly appreciated

2000 amps for how many amplifiers? and what kinda wire to contain that beast? and hide the amplifiers under the car in a custom fab box with undercoat to hide and protect it, would be very very cool running.
