Your gonna spend a lot of money just to see if it "sounds better". If power and signal clarity are the same then the only difference you will see is as a result of the quality of the amplifier.
I'd say just invest in a better quality amp, not a more powerful one.

I mean if they sit flush and it looks clean I don't see how glassing it would improve the install...and its just an idea I'm not sayin by any means that i'll do it I wanna do whatever would be best.
Your best bet is to mount them pointing towards you. If your pointing them towards anything else its going to diffuse the sound and ruin it. The best thing to do,IMO, is mount them somewhere facing you. Your kick panel looks like a good candidate. Keep an open mind and thing a few steps ahead at all times.

There's more to life than full tilt. If a speaker is tuned well it should never hurt. I have heard some unbelievably loud setups that i can thoroughly enjoy at extreme levels. Imagine being front row at a huge concert, but without the headache from the terrible signal.

impressed by what? The sheer stupidity? What if he hit a dip in the pavement or anything in the road? Would you have been impressed if he killed someone too?
I understand its dangerous, but not everything dangerous is stupid.
Personally i was impressed by the alignment, and the road. That thing was ghost for a long time, without issue.

probably have one of the speaker inputs wired out of phase. The inputs to the line out converter that is.

Don't forget the simple fact that the system is going to weigh a certain amount. In theory (in the racing world) every 7 lbs is equal to 1 hp. Having a system in a car is like having passengers in the car all the time.

How did you tune the amp and what is your electrical like?

Wiring an amp to 3 ohms actually gives a significant amount more power than being at 4, so consider that.

When the cap says "low" that means it is going below 9v, and chances are the amp will shut off under 9v.
