  1. i have comcast and as stated i already said ISP hasnt blocked it and they also do not know why it wont allow me to access, its clearly an IP issue as far as i can tell, ive ran sits before and ive banned people by IP and such and it all looks the same...firewall security programs, none of that is blocking this site, it just doesnt load from my home ISP, according to comcast i can reset my IP by leaving the modem shut off for a bout 8 hours, but i left it off for 12 and it didnt change anything

  2. I don't think it would be a waste of time.

A proper tline will make any subwoofer sound good, the enclosure is what really makes it sound the way it sounds.

    90% install 10% equipment ;)

And if they blow you can still put other woofers in it :)

proper t-lines are great, but if hes a noob at this, he probably shouldnt start with a t-line, those can be tough to get right

  3. TeamHT is right, no trying to down you, just trying to learn ya, lol

there is a reason that most quality amplifiers that can do even 1000-1500 watts (RMS that is) are no cheaper than 200 new, if the number doesnt have RMS beside it, its not a real number the amp is capable of most likely

for just a little more money, you can get a proper monoblock for under 250 that does anywhere form 1000-1500 rms depending on the company audiopipe, audioque, hifonics

as previously stated you really do not want a multichannel amp to run your subs

The 350 watt RMS amp (2 channel, bridged into 4ohm) will work just fine for that sub. Why does everyone keep insisting that you can't use multi channel amps on subs? That amp isn't the best amp around but it will sure do him fine until he gets a better amp.

Of course you can use multichannels for subs...and monoblocks for your front stage...the point is...

Kynto never said you can't, he suggested the easier more efficient route.

Fair enough, there was another post that said monoblocks were for subs and multichannels were for mids and highs that I was more referring too. Although in this case, the 2 channel amp (aside from being cheap) really does work just fine for what this guy wants.

there was another poster who said something like that, so wouldnt you quote the person your talking in which your referencing, anyways as was said for my post i think the guy that stated the opinion about the mono or multis, was also meaning that it is best or at least typically practiced that most people use monos for subs and multis for mids/highs...some people may whole heartedly agree this iks how is must be done, just because thats how theyve always done it or because they believe in better efficiency, i dunno

i dont have a problem with people using multichannel amps, but the guy was talking about getting a new amp and not necessarily using the one he already has, so thats why i was stating the info ab out the amp he posted and why he could get a more powerful monoblock amp for just a bit more and it would work out better

to each there own, im all for that, i have a neighbor that swears by lightning audio and they just wont listen to reason, lol i was just trying to help, i have still not done my first major build but ive been doing research for a year, so i was just sort of suggesting the OP uses the search button on the site or google a bit, if after research he still wants to do the same thing, then its cool, but i beliueve in getting the best bang for your buck and if you can do that while also getting quality, efficient equipment, why not

what im referring to is that he stated he could get a 4000w amp for 180, (anyone in car audio that doesnt use RMS and assumes that any number in fornt of a w is what the amp will put out, needs to do more reading is what i believe), he stated that like he was getting an amazing deal and he might be if the amp puts out 2000rms, 1000 per channel like it states, but if he is gonna spend that much money, he could save slightly more and get a known quality amp which is also a class d mono

this i think is one of the main reasons TeamHT told him to go do more reading, albeit he should have told him why except for a generalization g of you dot know what your talking about, lol but thats why i added thew info in my post about the amp he was talking about..........thena gain much of this is just my opinion i understand

  4. 4000 watts for $190...

    Monos only for subs...

    Max rated amps....

    Sigh

$180....excuse me. I do my homework and can find anything online for super cheap.

    VIBE-286 - Lanzar VIBE 286 2 Ch 4000 Watt Viberant MOSFET Amplifier

see that rms number, its actual power is rated at 10o0rms per channel so that is half what they state, and id be hard pressed to think lanzar puts out true power, but ive never used one

i couldnt find any fuse ratings on that amp, whether it is fuses directly on amp or external, couldnt find it

definitely do more research, read up on here, and save yourself some hassle, of course there are always people to swear buy every brand ven the bad ones(FUNKY PUPS BABY) they may work for some people, but you can get quality subs and amps for about the same price so wy not get what you know is quality instead of what you hope will work

  5. brookins is so laid back its almost scary and incredibly humble which is a great attribute

this was a good series, ive seen pretty much everything UFC and season 12 was pretty good

didnt watch the finale yet, but i did read up on some of the matches

anyone watch the last PPV, man matt hughes got owned, lol good to see BJ penn back in action, he was slacking so bad against frankie edgar in that rematch i dont think bj wanted the rematch

  6. dontmean to thread jack or anything but im doing something similar

i have a fi ssd 12 rated at 800rms but its getting maybe 150-200rms max right now and its in a sealed enclosure thats about 1.6 cu ft which is larger than recommended sealed specs, amp and enclosure are borrowed until january when i put it in a t-line, so wondering if the sub will be fine running like that for a month

  7. unless you have interchangeable ports Im not sure you can get a box that hits 55 and 28 really well, are there box designs with a 27HZ range, i thought ti waS more like 5-10 above or below tuning mark like tun ed to 32 would hit down to 22-27 and up to 37-42, i know it depends on the box and i do not know if the range changes with different designs, but hitting high notes clean while hitting the lows really clean to on the same sub, large range for them to handle i would think, but there may be some SQ subs that can handle that range, i do not know

  8. basically, i tried to explain same thing to my neighbor, he said " I want to get 18s, but they cant hit the lows." So i tried to explain this same principle and he still doesnt understand, but yea box and tuning, i believe the box being tuned, it will have a range of frequencies which it can hit give or take some, im not sure how wide this range goes, but like the guy said above, 38 hz tuning wont get the lows as good as 32 hz tuning

  9. when i was stationed at Stewart AFB the presidents all flew in there instead of JFK or whatever for going to the city. Cheney used to hunt right there too. Talk about a pain in the ass getting in and out of. Pretty cool watching their convoy come ripping down a 25 mph road at 65 mph and haul ass to a guarded flight line.

lol, they came in at grissom AFB here, its like 20 minutes away i think..apparently they flew Air Force One and Two

  10. Today Obama came to kokomo, Indiana. All i saw was tons of road blocks, lol. He came to chrysler plant and had some lunch form a local restaurant, signed some autographs. I had no chance to get near anywhere he was at, lol seemed every road I went down was blocked off by police, still interesting to have the president in the city, most people see kokomo as the end of the road, its on its last leg an d its dying, but we hope the future will be bright, chrysler is still huge here and is investing nearly 1 billion to keep another transmission plant open keeping 2250 jobs

  11. i have a 99 olds alero, its trunk is about 14.1 cu ft, not really a lot to work with, would be better if it was literally a cube to work with but with the wheel wells and such it makes it more difficult to utilize the whole space unless it was walled or nicely fiberglassed in i would think

largest box that could fit in my trunk is 16.5X36X36 and that would have to be built within the trunk because of clearance sliding box in, to be able to remove box for my trunk, it would need to be only 14 or so inches tall, the box im making for it will be 14.5 inches tall for a single 12
