They are compatible with one another. If they weren't I would have said so on the site by making the newer ones an all new v.2 model.
The changes made over the years do not make them incompatible... big caps changed from 80v to 100v and a bunch more screws added to the board and the main changes.
thanks jacob really appreciate it just saved me alot of trouble.sundown ftmfw!
now dc power please send me my alt so i can bang in the streets lol

is that how you are running you 1500s?
-
just lame that this info about new and old heatsink not working together is no where on the sundownaudio website ftl
-
Wasn't trying to "prove" you wrong or anything i was just sayin your amp wasnt seeing .5 with that box
Just email Jacob on Monday and go from there
just sayin i read wrong somewhere else
-
Sealed boxes have a lot of impedance rise
guess i'm wrong again its cool i dont care right now ima worry about this shit another day
-
i kno i'm aware of the warranty loss
my old saz1500d ran like a champ at .5ohm on a sealed box so no imp rise w/ an spv44 and 2 runs of 0 +stock alt supporting it i know w/ a DC alt would be able to support them just fine
but i'll email jacob and ask him i doubt i can do anything i'm in no hurry ill work it all out some how
and Kranny sorry no disrespect i just thought otherwise and thought you were BS'in me my bad

Swap your sub out for two D2s and still use both amps.
I'm assuming you have a D1 or D4 sub now.
d2 Aq HDC3 was gonna do a 1ohm strap when i got my alt from DC power alt. i might be able to work a trade to get matching new heatsinks
-
you dont get it. it wont work period. ITS 2 DIFFERENT AMPS
i was just saying if i would've done i would've been screwed, i know i wont work. now obviously
-
yea you can, but not with 2 different amps. DERP
ok i under stand 2 different boards
strapping 2 1500s
