I just wired my a pillar speakers to the same spot as I did the 6.5 in my door on the cross over.. worked perfect for me.
Did the same thing.

I found a P1000-1BD for $225 that looks pretty good. for 1000 watts, what's a good wiring kit? it'll only be running 1000 watts for short periods, probably sticking around 400-600 the majority of the time.
that is a hell of a deal for the p1000bd. awesome amp put well over 1000 watts. Mine was rated for 1355. I use fosgate or kicker wiring. Knu is also good. But these are just some that i have used personally.

But honestly I would just get the AQ1200. A little above your budget, but manageable, and that price is shipped. Finding a good amp providing a clean true 1000 watts for under $200 is possible, but then factor in shipping.
I would go with the aq1200, or hell even the aq750. that will push it very nicely and is underated as well. it will do 1000 at 14.4v Not to mention it is in your 200 dollar price range.

I dont even see how this can be a question. For me its about the customer service alone with a quality product. JL is a big name but honestly can you tell me a single person who is involved with jl becuase i sure as hell cannot. Now if we are talking dc sure i can rattle off a few big names involved with dc audio and point you in the direction of many ppl that will tell you that dc audio and rusty were great to deal with.

So an old man from my hometown passed away and they had a must sell auction. There were probably about 110 people in attendance but they were all there for the millions of dollars in antiques that the man collected over his lifetime. Then out came this gem and i swooped it up for 250 doll hairs.

depends on what amp.. you didn't state what brand.. but seems like you're referring to sundown.. you're probably looking at around 4200 maybe 4300 is my guess the amps are underrated..
Ive never really looked too much into the specs of the sundown amps but it seems to me that you should probably upgrade electrical to something that maintains a little higher than 13.5 if your going to run at .7 ohm/ That is going to get really hot really quick.

Unplug the alt and see if the truck idles fine. I had this happen to me when my alt was bad. Above 1200 rpms it was fine, at idle I would bounce between 12-14.7v
Be careful doing this you can fry your entire computer system.
