  1. This is the port calculator I used for my box: My link i found it a lot easier than the one on the forum... gl tho edit: ill start workin up an idea but someone will probably beat me to it lol
  2. lol im gonna say no cuz my box was 17" (and sum change) deep and it was a wee bit wide so i couldnt slide it all the way back but i have about 5" left and i have an 05 camry lol im pretty sure the cobalt has a smaller trunk than mine (but then again this all depends if he wants his trunk space lol) GOOD LUCK TO YA THO!
  3. o ok gotcha thanks and i like the 14x24 but i think 20" back would be alright (i got 3 cf with those dimensions) cuz i dont think cobalts have big trunks (that is if he cares about his trunk space)
  4. LOL MY BAD HAHAHA nah vented is the one with walls and ported is the one with the tube no? lol thats how ive been callin em guess ive been wrong lol
  5. tru tru if u got money fer 15s and a good amp to push em good for it as they say the BIGGER the better lol
  6. my friend has 2 12" sony xplods (1000 watt each) in the sony ported box and with the 800 watt sony amp bridged... they are pretty loud in his jeep and a pretty good set up fer low $$$... he got em fer $200 i believe... just a suggestion (or u could get the 1200 watt subs and 1200 watt amp package but idk how much more that is...)
  7. yea if u want a cool sports car buy it from someone who kept it stock and DO IT URSELF that way u kno wtf is in it lol and u get the pride of sayin "i did it myself"
  8. And all the numbers i used to get this "perfect" box were from specs i got from the manufacturer... like the tuning hertz to 35 and 2.0 cF net volume per sub...
  9. power to a new woofer? I'm using these subs and amp now just in the Terminator sealed box (and just curious what is the purpose of the wall that separates the two chambers in a sealed box?)
  10. its actually .015453461 so u round up to .02 which is the difference between 18.4 and 18.5 ( i told u perfection is key lol )
  11. YES! and that makes the volume move down so to compensate then i add .1" to the depth so its 18.5 LOL
  12. ok this may be stupid but im tryin to figure out the volume displacement of the two dowels so i use the formula pi r2h.... then i put in the .5 fer the radius and 17 fer the height and got 13.35176878 and that doesnt seem appropriate lol
  13. yea mines an 05 and i took out that interior carpet crap which takes up a lot of space surprisingly and this box will fit right up behind the rear seats because i used the height of the box in there now and it snugs right in there lol
  14. no those arent my trunk specs those are my custom specs to give it the perfect volume for the subs... you could call me a perfectionist lol... I have a camry lol this box takes up like 1/16th of the trunk lol
  15. I have quite a few carpentry skills dude 18.4 no problem lol but yea... that dowel? u talkin bout puttin it in the bottom corner of the box? if not then ur talkin bout in between the two subs on the top and bottom? sorry i cant see where ur puttin these dowels.
  16. YEah thats what i was thinking thanks now another question... the dimensions on my drawing are 14.5x33x18.4 i have to brace this thing... how tha heck do i brace it???
  17. I'm making a vented box for my 2 12" MTX Terminators... I can't decide on whether to use the separate chamber or just one chamber for both... any thoughts?
